well like many conscientious shoppers that do their research before they buy something that costs a lot of money. I have approximately 25k miles on it and so far not one problem! the 5.0 is very responsive and I am averaging 19mpg in mixed driving. on a long 600 mile trip I averaged 21mpg @70mph.i pull a 21ft camper that weighs about 5000 lbs. loaded and it pulls it with no problem averaging about 15mpg doing 65mph. the transmission shifts very smoothly a lot smoother than my previous Toyota Tacoma did. I recently had a test of the brakes when it was raining and a dog ran out in front of me and I slammed on the brakes. the abs worked wonderfully and I am happy to say that the dog will live to see another day because of that wonderful safety feature! the ride is pretty good for a truck maybe not lexus like but very good on a long trip. I love the backup camera and the parking sensors they have saved me a couple of times already. and hitching up my camper is nice once you get the hang of it. the a/c will run you out of it even when its 100 degrees outside. I love the oil monitoring system and even though the dealer wants me to come in every 5000 miles for an oil change I find that I can comfortably go 7500 miles using full synthetic oil. all in all I like my f-150 and plan on keeping it for many years. we will see about the long term reliability and hopefully this truck will last 200 or maybe even 300k miles? I have been noticing that I see far more older ford trucks on the road than I do of chevy or dodge. I recently saw an old guy driving what must have been a 1969 ford f-100 ranger it was a little rusty but it was still running great. says a lot about ford products. just my two cents worth. well updating my previous review. I now have 42,000 miles on the truck now. still no real problems!! very little maintenance other than oil changes performed by the dealer. I am getting ready to update the front brakes with some slotted/vented rotors and some premium semi-metallic brake pads. I would buy another F-150 without reservation. so far the re-sale value has held up. my truck is still worth 25k$ according to KBB. well my updated review is that I now have 51000 on the truck and so far no issues but regular synthetic oil changes @ the dealer Loganville Ford. I also recently had the dealer change the rear end oil because I do tow a 8000lb. trailer from time to time. I will probably have the transmission serviced around 60 or 70,000 miles because I plan on keeping the truck for a long time. the sync system does act a little crazy from time to time, but no real big deal there. mechanically the truck has been very reliable . I did upgrade the front disks to some slotted and drilled ones with some premium semi-metallic brake pads. it did improve my braking!! overall I would buy this truck again and I think ford makes a quality product . I previously owned a Toyota Tacoma which was a really good vehicle and I owned a Toyota Camry which went 300k miles. I hope to get 300k from my F-150?? time will tell!! well I have 63000 miles now as of 9-15-19 and so far its been a good truck. just regular maintenance . transmission fluid change @59k and new spark plugs@61k. I also put a new flowmaster dual exhaust on it, which makes the V-8 sound awesome. would I buy it again. yes I would! well i am here to update my review on 9/18/21. truck has almost 79 k miles and the only real problem I have has is a a/c/heater diverter motor that went bad(clicking noise) cost about 300 bucks for dealer to replace. other than that my 5.0 seems to keep right on purring. hoping to get 300k miles out of my baby!!!

My 2015 F-150 isn't my daily driver so I only have about 1,500 miles on it. I have owned it for 3 months. This is my 3rd F150. The others were almost flawless. I am Ford loyal so despite the misgivings about the aluminum body I bought one. First the good: it drives like a dream. Unbelievably good handling (it has the FX4 package). The interior is very comfortable, even for trips of 2-3 hours. It looks good. Acceleration is excellent with the V8. Now the bad: Within 2 months of ownership someone tried to break in. The police think it was to get to the tailgate (which can only be locked electronically now - bad). The driver window was on order for 2 weeks through the dealer (unacceptable). The dealer complained non-stop about the new aluminum body while I was getting an estimate. The instrument panel is a mess. I viewed it as a weakness when I was test driving it, but had no idea how much I would hate the layout until I bought it. Every button seems misplaced and awkward. The transmission is still a 6 speed and shifts a little oddly (mistimed). The radio and nav are below what I would expect for a Lariat level truck. Mileage is worse than I expected. Not sure Ford did its best with this one, but I will keep it for a while and see if it grows on me.
