Good truck but not great reliability
Wow. Kick ass performance and 22 mpg on a full size pick up, my only complaint is no back up camera on the xlt. Update; after a year I have had this in the shop for various issues including replacement oil pan due to leaks, faulty a-c, replacement and rebuild of rear end and pinion bearing. I can only hope the reliability improves long term. Other than that it’s a good truck but for the cost I honestly expected better.

My Platinum is a gem.
This Ford F-150 Platinum is a FULLY LOADED vehicle and has every convience that you could want. It has the FX4 Off Road package, but the worst workout it will get is a mid winter trip to Minnesota. It is exactly what I wanted, but it may not work out for a down and dirty work truck. You could surely use it for that, but it would be a waste of talent. Buy the XL or XLT for an excellent work truck.

Great Truck!!
I bought the XLT in 2015 with the 5.0 and had absolutely no issues with it whatsoever. I did oil changes at about 10k intervals and I just replaced front brake pads at 75k and probably could of went another 25k before changing them. I had no complaints whatsoever about this truck and I will go back to ford for a pickup if I decided to go back. The 5.0 is a beast engine just a little gas hoggy. I averaged about 16-17 mpgs in mixed driving. 19-20 on long road trips. With that being said, 5.0 is the way to go maintenance wise. I had 76k miles on it when I traded it in and felt that it could of went another 100 without any major issues.

Cargo lamp meltdown
Plastic light cover on back of window noted to be melted. Taking in to Ford dealership for evaluation. I think it’s caused by light multiple bulbs.
