I tried but I could not do it... Ford fix the ride
I recently purchased a new truck. To my dismay it was not the F150. As I test drove the other brands (Dodge, Chevy, GMC, Toyota) none of them really spoke to me. I drove an F150 with a bench seat with a straight V6 and was not impressed so the salesman asked me to try out the Lariat. All I had to do was sit in it and I was sold. I am a big guy 350+ lbs and this cabin fit like a glove. It spoke to me like no other. I was super excited and took it for a test drive. I felt the road and the bumps but the salesman told me that it was a stiff suspension because it was new and it was a 4x4. I was super excited to bring my wife with me the next day to take a test drive of the 4x2. I went to the dealer with my checkbook and title to my current truck. I was mentally prepared to pay extra above my target budget to get this truck. We took the V6 turbo 4x2 Lariat for an extended test drive of about 30 min stopping home to show the kids. The entire ride on the highway and on our newly paved side roads I kept asking my wife if she could feel the road and the bumps and the jitter but she said no it was OK. When we got back to the dealership and the salesman was parking the F150 my wife told me the ride sucked, I wasn't crazy, and her back hurt. She didn't want to say anything bad with the salesman in the truck with us. I soon realized my back hurt as well from the bumps and jostling around on smooth roads. I tried and I tried to talk myself and my wife into purchasing the F150 but we couldn't. We just could not spend that kind of $ for a ride this bad. The cost of the F150 is significantly higher locally (TX) than the other brands. We went down the road to our second choice and purchased a truck with the same feature set for less $ but I settled for it. I am happy to have a new truck after 13 years but I'm not super excited. I feel I would have been more excited with the F150 if it would have just rode as good as any of the other brands. It wasn't even close. The ride is called out as the biggest con in many reviews. I am not a brand loyalist. I purchase based on features I want that I determine before I go shopping, comfort, and other professional and owner reviews. Over the last 24 years I've owned a Dodge for 11 years and a Chevy for 13 years. I purchase to get my $ out of the vehicle and I take care of them so they last. I love the look. I love the styling. I love the cabin on the Lariat. I love the 3.5L V6 turbo and the V8. I dislike the price. I hate the ride. The ride is so bad that I could not force myself or talk myself into purchasing the vehicle. If Ford ever fixes the ride I will sell my current truck early and get one. Hopefully, by the time they fix the ride the price will be better too. Ford please fix the ride!!!!

supercrew xlt. super truck .
Bought a Ford 150 supercrew from Galpin motors in Van Nuys California. Initial two hour drive home was excellent. Got the 2.7 turbo and got 22.1 mpg going mostly uphill. A lot better than my Chevy. Very nice to drive and ample power. This new truck is amazing. Def recommend from a former owner of a dodge ram and Chevy 1500 . Obviously this is the newest tech but def my favorite so far .If you decide to buy this truck and live close to Galpin motorsports, go see Steve Rodgers. Amazing service and patience. I couldn't decide on Color and trim and Steve was very understanding and washed two cars and another which was the one I finally decided on. Thank Steve Rodgers .

Very disappointed customer
We bought our truck in late 2015. Paid it off. We owned for about 3 weeks and a sensor went out. Got it fixed through dealership. Had it for about another 2 or 3 weeks. Then the brain for the truck gave completely out. Dealership kept for about a month. With no loaner car. Disappointing part was we were going on vacation. About. Early 2018 are fuel pumps apparently it has 2. Our warranty at point was expired by 86 miles. The repair was unfortunately to much. It's said that much for a vechile that you think is going to last at 6 years. I also contacted Ford's president. But unfortunately nothing was done about.

Awsome truck, but bonkers naviga - 3.5 Eco Boost
I bought the Platinum with 702a package, moon roof, FX4, tow and 3.5 Eco Boost engine (not offered as an option by the Edmunds interface when writing this review). When shopping for a car, I was quite flexible. I was primarily thinking about a Toyota Highlander, but was open to a larger SUV or truck. I test drove the Highlander, which was good, but I also test drove a Sequoia to see if it blew me away, and worth spending the extra, but I was actually quite disappointed with little space it had inside, for what it was, and very poor visibility. I then test drove the F150, and it really did blow me away! So much so that I bought it that day. It is so comfortable and effortless to drive, with a commanding driving position and lots of power that is smooth and tame in city driving, but transitions easily to beast mode when desired. It has a feature list that is only present in SUV's costing way more than this. I love the massaging seats, the 360 camera, powered running boards, huge moon roof, adaptive cruise control and too many other features to list here. Not everything is great. The navigation is completely insane, taking routes that make no sense whatsoever. An example of the wackiness is when I tested it on my usual route to work. Basically this is 20 miles on a straight freeway, then about a quarter mile trip on side streets to the office, but the navigation wanted me to come off the highway about 10 miles early, into what would definitely be a longer route, and into heavily congested side streets. I really am not looking forward to the first time I need to rely on it. Also, a little niggle is that when you are driving on a straight stretch of road, a warning comes up telling me to 'keep your hands on the steering wheel', even though my hands have never left go of it. Nevertheless, I love this truck.

Built to Work
I bought the F150 because I know Ford makes vehicles that perform well have low maintenance and are always a pleasure to drive. I had GM products for many years, but there is nothing like a Ford and my 2015 F150 is no exception. My F150 is a quality product that gets the job done and looks good doing it.I had 43000 miles on my F150 when I turned it in at the end of my lease and picked up my 2018 F-150. The new one is even better than my 2015 was, another great truck. When it comes time for my next truck it's going to be another F150, one great truck
