2013 Ford F150 EcoBoost = Trash

Never, ever, ever...did I say never buy a Ford Ecoboost vehicle. Nothing but trouble, and now at 115,000 miles, engine is trash. I have always been a Ford person but the eco-boost is a joke. Great while it lasted, just didn't last like a Ford truck should. I would give zero stars but can't.

My Ford Touch Misses The Mark

Overall, the truck is very nice. Ford Engineering took some steps to try and make the 2013 F150 a better truck. While some of these areas were improved, others were over engineered and missed the mark.

Love my new Ecoboost! FX4 w/max tow pgk

They didn't have an option for 3.5L Ecoboost FX4. I just got done towing a 28ft 8,000lb trailer to Yosemite National Park and it pulled it with no issues, turbo lag or trouble getting up 7%+ grade hills. I had a 2010 with the 5.4ltr v8 and it had trouble pulling the travel trailer even with the 3.73gears. In towing I got average of 12.5mpg. I usually get 15.5 in city and upper teens for hwy but I work in a hilly area so I'm getting better then I expected. I was a little worried about the Ecoboost reviews from the '11 & '12' models but looks like they worked out the kinks for '13 but I leased the truck just in case. If you need a truck that can tow alot & get v6 mpg's, this is the truck!

I only have about 68,000 miles on this truck which is very low for the age but it is one of the best trucks I've owned plenty of power loaded with options never had a problem but I do keep up with the maintenance oil changes tire rotations everything Ford recommends I get a lot of compliments on the looks of the truck and driving forwards for close to 40 years I've tried Chevy Dodge had a lot of problems Dodge transmission Chevy fuel pump wiper motor AC compressor electrical problems all this with less than 70,000 never again Chevy very happy with the truck I have. I understand there's a lemons in every manufacturer of vehicles I guess I've either been lucky or it's the fact I take great care of my vehicles have to they're so expensive.

Not expecting 23 mpg's

I'm now approaching 54,000 miles and the 5.0 is not missing a beat. I've been driving in hills in Georgia, Tennessee, and Kentucky. I've had no problem staying over 20 mpg. Driving on regular interstate I get over 23 mpg. With a 18 foot trailer and about 4 to 5 thousand pounds, locally, I get about 16.5 mpg's. The extended cab, not 4 full doors, is still spacious. I do lawn maintenance with my brother on the weekends and the truck's 8 foot bed has been invaluable. I love the truck, I just wish I had the back up camera for hooking up the trailer/boat. I've gotten by just fine without it though... :) The dealership I got it from was garbage though... I'll probably never go to a dealer again. Edit: I have sold the truck. I never had one issue with it out of the 25,000 miles I drove it. I did replace the tires, brakes, and regular maintenance.
