Not as advertised
I have a 2013 FX4 SuperCrew Ecoboost that was purchased WITH a 6" lift and 35x12.5x20 all terrain tires. Please understand that although I do have frustrations with a lifted truck and will never own one again, that does not affect my review here. As of this moment, the truck has 52,193 miles on it. All light city/highway miles with a couple of light off-road interactions (never had to use 4x4). First and foremost, this truck does NOT get what it's advertised in regards to MPG. I realize my fuel effieceny will be greatly affected by the lift, but I also have friends who own this truck stock and they don't get near what's advertised. So I feel dooped considering that was the reason I went with the Ecoboost. I still tow enough to need some power; this truck has none. I spent >$3,000 on upgrades to make this truck move! Programmer, exhaust, intake, etc. I shouldn't need to spend $50k on a new truck and then another $3k to make it perform... ok ok. Beyond that, I have had nothing but problems albeit small issues. I've had the dash lights stay on and leave me stranded with a dead battery. Sent it to dealership to flash ECU. Didn't work. Had to replace ECU. My module that switches the 2 wheel drive to 4 was stuck in between and grinding making an awful noise. Another dealership trip. The latch on the driver side door malfunctioned, door wouldn't shut. Another trip. Do I need to go on? Just irritating and I don't have time to deal with this petty stuff. I paid a lot of money for a quality truck and didn't feel like I got it. Beneath all of the negativity, I do feel as if the Ford has the best ergonomics. Very comfortable, very luxurious, very spacious rear seating, very modern technology, good looking truck.

The White Mustang
Great truck. Roomy. Powerful. Great for carrying and hauling things. Lousy for carrying my 2 German Shepherd dogs in the back seat area. The back outdoor bed might be ok for very short distances and the dogs were secured properly and safely. Gas mileage totally sucks! 15 mpg is the most to wish for. 14 is more realistic. 13 is the average.

My first and last Ford truck
'13 F-150 Crew 4X4 Eco-boost V6, all at 15K service: The rotors had to be turned due to vibration on braking. After never hitting anything that would cause the alignment to be out of spec, the alignment cost me nearly $500 (for a camber kit installation) because the factory equip. could not be adjusted to the proper correction. Driver outside door handle must be replaced - have to pull twice to open. Driver door molding/seal replaced A/C not cold in hot weather. SYNC sucks Occasional power hesitation on start from stop-sign Various rattles within the cabin Heat-recirc. turns off after 5 min in winter
Surprised with the performanbce
I have also been a V8 guy, and when I purchased my used 2013 Ford F150 Extended cab 4x4 pick up with the Eco Boost V6 I was happily surprised. It gets great gas milage and has the power at the wheels when it is needed.

Epic failure
Just traded off my 2013 F 150 Eco Boost for a Toyota. Front brake caliper replaced under warranty at about 25k. Since you cannot do one side, I had to pay for the other side. At about 45k battery completely died leaving me stranded. At 50 k, speed sensor failed and almost caused an accident while driving into traffic. Shortly thereafter, the cam oil phasers failed causing loud rattling of engine on cold starts. That was the timing chain. Phasers are a dealer item and a $2700 repair. Also there was a suspension problem requiring front end repair. Also had to replace front brakes again. 3 sets of brakes at 55 k? Ford builds pure junk.
