Used 2006 Ford F-150 SuperCab Consumer Reviews
Too Many Problems
This F-150 has had things go wrong that should never go wrong during its lifetime. Both exhaust manifolds cracked and were replaced. The clutches in the rear end were replaced twice. Power steering hose rusted through. A/C compressor went bad. Instrument cluster has a short. Brake light stays on all the time.
F150
For a full size truck you cant beat the power. I tow a 1969 s&s Hearse 6000 lbs and it's like towing a small camper. Almost don't know its there! But as far as gas mileage goes might as well pour the gas out onto the ground gas mileage is only 18 on the highway at best.

Water Leaks
If you are reading this and haven't checked, pull back your carpet in the front and see if it's wet, mine was soaked! After a recent heavy storm, I had to use a shop vac to pull the water out of the channels holding the wiring harness under the kick plates at the entrance to both driver and passenger doors. I've read where these king cabs have a big problem with water leaks that may go un- noticed until you start smelling mildew. The third brake light has a history of leaking on most years of these trucks. The water runs down channels from the light toward the front floorboard soaking everything underneath. Also, there have been other reports of the air conditioning condensor vent leaking
One Sharp Truck
I love this truck. Every time I pull into a gas station, it seems like the truck is like a magnet for compliments. One of the reasons I ride a Harley is for this same response, Lots of chrome on my Harley attracts attention like this truck brings on the "Wow" what a great looking truck. It drives well, has a great interior package, comfortable seats, with Harley logos throughout. The 22 inch wheels are an attention grabber, and moonroof is a great option. I like the AWD capability, and the fact they only build 10,000 of these makes ownership a plus. Not everyone has one, making them unique. Gas mileage of course could be better, but it's a truck. All in all, Love this truck.
Ugh, the fuel!
I have owned some of the best middle class American vehicles including a Dodge van with the best motor ever, the 318! However the 2006 F-150 is the best all around vehicle this picky 6'-4" body has ever driven! The only drawback is the fuel cost. Which is everybody's right now. But, 16 mpg combined driving is ridiculous in the 21st century. Buy this truck if you have a big wallet, you don't care about your "carbon footprint, or if your like me you hope that in a couple of years there will be a motor conversion so that it can run on water.
