Glad it's only a lease

One more year to go on the lease then I'm done with Ford. Never get the 4.6L V8, way underpowered. Never buy one with the General Tires, noisiest tire on the planet. Hope you can overcome the electronic throttle lag when you push the gas. Hope you don't buy one like I did that the transmission fried at 12,000k because some seal blew connecting the transmission to the transfer case. Ford doesn't put "new" transmissions in anymore, just rebuilts. And this rebuilt one has been serviced 2 times already and it still doesn't run right. Expect 12mpg in the winter and 15mpg in the summer. Only owned 2 Fords in my lifetime and both have been a disappointment. This is it! Pity too because I get the Ford Discount.

Some to like, Some to Not

Bought this superbly maintained low mileage 4X4 with plow, gently used. Good power and interior comfort, but I was disturbed to find both front 4 wheel drive actuators went out at 26,800 miles. It would have been past warranty (because of age, not miles). However, the original owner bought extended warranty, which does transfer, although there is a fee and some effort to get it transferred. It was fixed under warranty. The parts were in stock, which suggests to me this is a common problem. I don't think it's a good sales point that major things break on a vehicle with under 30,000 miles. Otherwise, the truck looks and runs well.

Solid truck, but rusting out

The majority of my issues are due to rust. We live in the rust belt, northeast Ohio. I've replaced $1000 worth of parts over the past 2 years on the front end that failed due to corrosion. The body has been rusting for over 5 - 7 years now. Its just embarrassing at this point. GM vehicles have far less rust at this age.

My Lariat F150

Completely satisfied! Spent many months researching and went with the F150 over the Titan with no regrets. The interior is pure luxury, the exterior has the best appearance. The Titan was tempting for awhile but I grew tired of that look and the Titan interior is no match. Ford quality is real.

Transmission issues at 170000 truck was running perfect and then one day the transmission just went out . Fluid's word checked regularly and failed regular oil changes haven't had any other issues except with the oil filter . But the transmission on this truck is known for going out otherwise I love my truck
