Overall a solid truck....

I'm at 2800 miles and so far so good. No build/quality problems at all. Very comfortable ride, quiet cabin. Rear end gets "bouncy" and sometimes feels unstable over rough roads/broken pavement, otherwise the ride is good. Engine is solid and smooth. Limited interior storage with audiophile system. Ford should be embarrassed with these dinky floor mats on a truck. The captains chairs are comfortable but I wish they had more lateral support.

Ordered this truck exactly the way I wanted it and after picking it up I soon realized it was even better than I expected. The ride is so smooth and quiet I almost forget I'm in a truck. My 5.4ltr has 500lbs of torque and does whatever I want it to and begs for more. Ford did an unbelievable job on the quality including the fit and finish. I just can't say enough about how pleased I am with this truck. I hghly recommend it!!!

Great Truck, Poor power train

I have had this truck for 27 months and up until this week I have been very happy with it and its performance. For a 4X4 I constantly saw 15mpg (city) and 20mpg (highway). I have had problems with the truck. Three months ago the 4 wheel drive system would try to engage 4 wheel low while I was driving down the road at 50mph. The local dealer repaired the problem within a day. Just after 37K miles, while driving down the road the truck stopped applying power to the rear wheels. I had the truck towed to the dealership and was informed I would have to replace the transfer case. If you are looking to own a vehicle for an extended period of time I would stay away from this product line.

Only had truck for 2 months; fun to drive, handles great, and the rack and pinion steering makes turning in parking lots and sharp corners effortless. Basic CD sound system is great. Also own 2000 Tahoe and drives much better than Tahoe - won’t get rid of Tahoe though.

Well it's still going strong for me. Thanks to trailering about 8000lbs worth of horses from Jersey to Ohio, Virginia, etc. I now have close to 70,000 miles on it. I also pull my 66 Mustang to shows with it. What can I say, still in love. So much my other half bought an 08 Super Crew with the long bed. Mine is still squeek and rattle free. That suspension does it all, rides great, handles great, and hauls and tows like a beast. Sure, New Tundra is fast, but it is a tin can. Come on, "triple tech frame?' What is that? The Fords fully boxed frame from stem to stern rocks. The 5.4L does not really get bogged down when hauling or towing. Best truck ever!
