Used 2004 Ford F-150 Regular Cab Consumer Reviews
Handsome Truck
This has been a great truck. Three years old and looks new. No problems and good factory stereo.
3rd Ford
This is the 3rd Ford P/U I have owned in the last 20 years. Both of the older Fords are still being driven. The oldest is a 1980 with over 150000 miles on it and the 2nd had 205000 when traded for the "new" 2004 Ford. The new truck seems to have sufficient power to pull a boat/trailer, with a ride that matches many autos.
F150 Regular Cab 4x4 XLT
I love this truck... I've had a 89 F150 XLT, 97 Expedition, 2001 SuperCrew and now the 04 F150 XLT and I can't rave enough on how good this truck is. Towing is a dream, power is excellent, brakes are great, steering is tight and responsive. Only problems were a warranty recall on the rear axle, and a recurring dead battery since year one, which is a bad battery, but Ford won't replace it. I'm going to try one more time, before our Minnesota winter to get them to pony up. Did the K&N filter and cut off the stock muffler for a Flowmaster 3" 3 chamber SUV series muffler and this thing sounds great without droning at any speed. I still get 15 mpg avg summer and 13 mpg avg winter! I drive it hard.
The Ford F-150 Rocks!
I am a long time pick up truck consumer, I have owned Chevy's, Dodge's, Ford's, and Toyota P/U's, out of all the P/U's that I've had the F- 150 out does them all. It is a great vehicle for off-roading, going camping, fishing, and hunting. Its a great vehicle all round, I don't know what I would do without it. I'd rather have this F-150 P/U then any SUV on the planet except maybe hummer, I wouldn't mine owning a Hummer H1 or H2, yeah they probably out do it offroad, but life isn't all fun & games. I would definitely get another Ford F-150 Extended Cab (2dr) Sytleside 8Ft. bed 4x4, in a heartbeat, if I had the money to afford a second one.
New 2004 F150 FX4
By far, the best driving pickup...ever! I usually like the style side, however, since the bed space is essentially the same, I went with the step side. The step side is a much better looking truck. The cabin is compfortable, roomy, and quite. Power is deceiving, since the truck is so quite. The truck achieves its cruising speed surprisingly quickly and youll find yourself unconsciously over the speed limit objective in no time. All in all, if youre a Dodge or Chevy truck fan, once you drive the new ford, youll wish you had one.
