My ford 2000 XlT has been one of best trucks that I have owned. With regular maintenance, everything factory but alt, battery, fuel pump, tires, belts, plugs, coils, filters,?????? On it be a blessing and still going strong can much more.

I love this truck. It has 209,000 miles on it and the 5.4L and trany are as strong as ever. The rear axel seal went out and I ended up buring up the gears in the differentail "my fault". The control arm bushings need to be replaced, which I hear are notorious to start making noises in all fords. Other than that not a problem with it. Every mechanic I have talked to say that so long as you keep it maintained, It will last to 300,000 miles+. My next truck I get will be a Ford F150.

New Ford F 150 4.6L v8 4x4 LB

I bought this trck new. 4.6L engine 4x4. I love this truck. 4 years now with very minor problems. Coil pak went out at 45000 miles $200 repair. Cat. converter inside ceramic stuff broke apart and clogged muffler $100 repair at (90000 miles) thats all the problems I've had. Trck now has 97000 mi. on it. Good loking truck, inside and out. 4.6L motor is a little doggie when pulling a 3000lb boat but the gas savings makes up for it. I get around 20 mpg out on the interstate at 75mph not pulling anything. I highly recommend this truck!

I dont think ive done 1 non-scheduled maintenance on this vehicle. 102k miles on original tranny, etc. Still looks good for being 10 years old. This truck easily handles everything i throw at it.

This truck was equipped with the 4.6 liter V-8. I tow a 22 foot boat which, with trailer, weighs about 4000 pounds. This truck tows poorly, with constant downshifts on the slightest grades. I was forced to sell the truck due to underpowering and a non-locking differential after it could not effectively pull the boat and trailer up boat ramps. It performed well when not towing.
