Lariat 101
I became a Ford owner in 1992 and never looked back. I use my Lariat to pull a fifth wheel during vacation and put over 6000 miles in 4 to 5 weeks. Not a hitch. I also use it to transport my snowmachine and quad, again no problems. The only negative thing I can say about my truck is that the back springs are not as stiff as I would like. Anyway, I like my truck and intend to buy another within the next year or so.

An American Icon
I have a 1999 Ford F-150 XL 4x2 X-Cab, it is a great truck. I would drive it anywhere! It has served me well! When it comes time to trade I will definiately buy another one. There is no other truck like it out there.
Great Truck!
We sold our 2004 Explorer last summer to buy our 1999 Ford F150. We love it - actually more than our Explorer. We bought it so we could pull a camper cross-country when we were moving. My family has always loved Fords but my husband was a Chevy man until this purchase. We pulled a 26' camper loaded with belongings through several mountain chains - when we started through the first set of mountains, my husband said if we make it all the way there with no problems, I'll be a Ford man. Not one problem! In fact, that was last July and we still have had no problems. We put new tires on it when we bought it and have had the tires rotated and oil changed - THAT'S IT! Highly recommend this model.
Surprises after 50.000 miles
Loved truck until recent maintenance. Anyone else believe that new rotors (deep rust pits), new headgasket and new power steering pump should ALL be required after only 4 years and 50,000 very easy (no towing, off-road etc.) miles? Wonderful vehicle turned into major disappointment.
