Love It

Owned it for a year and a half now and love it. I’m 6’5 250 and it fits me. Engine is powerful, smooth, and quiet. Paired with the 10 speed transmission, the ride is exceptional. Plenty of room for the family along with the dogs and cats. The only negatives are the headrest that I feel needs to adjust farther aft and I am not a fan of the manual hitch cover. Small things that I can live with but for 80K+ put a motor on the cover.

Not Worth the price for me

I own a 2021 Ford Expedition Limited and am extremely disappointment with it for several reasons. It's got to be the roughest and loudest car/SUV I've ever owned. I also feel it's terrible on gas filling up at least once per week. I recently drove a GMC Yukon had it for a week as a rental and it drove great and was much quitter and much better on fuel. Not to mention the recalls on this that Ford still doesn't have the parts to fix. It's always nice having to park your $74K + vehicle out of the garage and away from your house every night. The limited package does give you great options, but I find the infotainment system to be slow and takes long to load in-between apps. Looking to trade this in but cannot seem to find a GMC on a lot anywhere! Looking for a full size SUV I would for sure recommend testing driving all full size SUV and be sure you get the one the fits you best! The Ford Expedition Limited is overpriced for the rough, loud ride you get!

Best Decision!

I love the Expedition! We traded in our VW Atlas because we needed more room and something that would tow more than 5K lbs. We crossed shopped the Tahoe/Yukon and it was a no-brainer than the Expedition was the better of the two. The power from the V6 Ecoboost is stout and such a smooth ride. We opted for a 21’ Limited with a few added packages and have no “ragrets”.

Cheap and clunky

Just purchased a new 2021 Expedition Max Limited. I traded in a loaded 2013 Expedition EL XLT. It now has a little over 1000 miles on it. The build quality of the 2021 is much lower than the 2013. Eco boost Engine is louder than the 5.4 v-8. Interior stitching on the seats is absolutely horrendous. Seats feel slightly smaller and much less comfortable than my 2013. Interior creaks and rattles. Rear bucket seats shake as you go over every crack in the road. The ride is rough and loud as you will feel and hear every bump in the road. Vehicle had to get towed back to dealership at 500 miles due to a faulty fuse box. Ford wanted to make me pay for the towing. Dealership did cover the tow. The rear cargo area used to be built quite heavy with adjustable floor panels that could be positioned flat or vertical for different layouts. That’s all been replaced with super cheap and light (cardboard?) floor covered in fabric. Auto headlights work but are a little to touchy and will blink from low to high to low more often than necessary. Exterior does look nice and appears to be well built. Interior looks nice but so many flaws for a high end vehicle. Not sure what happened with Ford but the quality of their vehicles has decreased dramatically while increasing in cost. Probably going to buy a Nissan Armada next time around being that it is the most comfortable vehicle I have ever driven.

Stay away from used rental Expeditions!!!

Purchased in March 2023. Within 5 miles of driving off the dealer lot the check engine light kicks on. Dealer claims it’s just a simple emissions check. Both catalytic converters were replaced. Transmission also became clunky and would slip merging on highways. Lots of power and comfy but stay away from former rental units. These ecoboosts are dirty engines to begin with and need meticulous maintenance schedules.
