A little disappointed!
I love my Ford Expedition Max. It handles great and it is fantastic in the snow. I am disappointed in that multiple times I felt my transmission slip and the dealership said it was normal. A slipping transmission in an $80,000 vehicle to me isn't normal. I took my Black Beauty to Transmasters in West Valley City, Utah. The checked out my transmission and transaxle and informed me everything is alright. They informed me that it was the way Ford designed the system. I went back to the Ford dealership in Salt Lake City, Utah and complained again. There was a Service Tech named Doug there and he invited me to my vehicle. He explained what was happening. He told me to drive in Sport mode to alleviate the problem. My Black Beauty is operating more smoothly. The question I have for Ford engineers is how you can design an $80,000 and you can't use the Economy drive mode? I think there will be a large recall for Ford down the road. I pray I am wrong. Commonsense tells me I am right and there are going to be a lot of unsatisfied customers because of this problem.
Tahoe fan that went back to the 2020 Expedition XL
Just bought a new 2020 Expedition XLT after owning a 2008 Tahoe XLT and 1999 For Expedition. We drove a 2021 Chevy Tahoe, which was nice and feels just like the older Tahoes, no surprises but inside isn't a wow factor. The Ford Expedition delivers more room and value for the money. The Tahoe drives very smooth but tye new Expedition is very smooth and solid drive too. The Expedition interior edges out the 2021 Tahoe. The styling of the Expedition is the best of all generations. The V-6 feels just as powerful as the V-8's. That surprised me. No cons for the Expedition in my opinion.

Be aware of 10-speed-transmission issue
I loved this truck until check engine light and wrench light started coming one. Had to go back and forth for service more than 10 times to finally identify transmission issue. So many people have complained 3 and 5th gear problem and I found same issue with mine. There's class action lawsuit for same issue with 10-speed-transmission equipped trucks, including F150, rangers, etc. I was not able to drive mine for 3 months now and on loaner which I have to go back and forth everytime.

3rd Expedition ... This one is the worst by far!
This car is bascially a lemon. Lots of mechanical and fit/finish issues. Total shame because I have been very dedicated to Ford, but this has gotten ridiculous. It's been at the shop in McKinney, Texas, and they even tell me that Ford did not do a good job with this make/model. I think my Ford days are over.

Blue Beauty
Hands down, the best SUV I have ever owned. UPDATE: This SUV continues to be the best vehicle I have ever owned. Smooth, powerful, quiet, technology leader, I can't of a single change. We tow a 28' camper and the engine purrs right along, like nothing is behind it. Love it!
