Better than expected

We bought the car because we needed the capacity to take the family plus two big dogs and two cats and all our stuff to our beach house. The car has a great smooth ride, as good as our 2013 RX350 that we traded in. We liked the Lexus but it was too small for our needs. Acceleration is very good for a very big vehicle and handling is good also. Cons? Lane centering is so feeble as to be worthless. Charging pad doesn’t work but maybe there’s something I don’t understand. All in all we are very happy with this giant hauler.

Finally a winner!

2019 Ford Expedition MAX Platinum 4dr SUV (3.5L 6cyl Turbo 10A)

We’ve owned a Jeep Grand Cherokee, two Honda Pilots, a Honda Odyssey and then an Infiniti QX80. Finally got tired of the three kids arguing nonstop in the car and my mom-existent fuel economy in the QX80, and so started looking for a large suv with split captains chairs in the second row. I test drove a Yukon xl Denali, Cadillac Escalade ESV and the Ford Expedition Max Platinum. The Ford won hands down!!! The technology in this vehicle is unlike any I’ve ever experienced! It rides like a dream! Drives like a dream! Lots of legroom in all rows. Took a six hour road trip the first week and the kids loved the rear entertainment system and my husband and I loved the cargo room. The acceleration is MUCH better than the gargantuan V8 in the QX80. And the gas mileage is a dream! I would (and do) recommend the Expedition Max to anyone and everyone!

2019 Ford expedition limited with Stealth package

I purchased a 2019 forward expedition limited with the health package 4 months ago and have put 5000 miles on the vehicle now. I have been very happy with the vehicle. It has an incredibly smooth ride. The handling for vehicle the size is also excellent. It is easier to drive than my 2017 Honda pilot delete that I treated in for it. The interior is very well done and unlike my Honda it is easy to navigate the controls. No problems with the entertainment system unlike the Honda. The interior has tons of room and is very well proportioned. Seats are extremely comfortable. If purchasing this vehicle I would strongly recommend this 360 camera system and parking sensors. They are very helpful. Vehicle has ample power for anything you would like to do with it. Blind spot monitors are also a must as the B pillar creates a significant blind spot over the driver's left shoulder. Entry into the third row is very easy with the opening seats. I test drove many of the 3 row SUVs. It was definitely the one that stands out if you are looking for size and capabilities. If you are actually going to use the third row seat many of these midsized crossover things are just not realistic.

Went in looking to buy a Chevy Tahoe. Test drove the Ford Expedition and was blown away. Handle better, felt lighter, features were just as good if not better. Overall a great vehicle.

Serious Steering Problem; No Good For Towing

We have a 2019 Fried Expedition with the heavy duty towing package. When we make a left turn onto a straight road it keeps pulling left until we make a right turn which then cancels the left turn and then it drives straight. This condition is worse when towing our 6000 lb. trailer but still noticeable when towing nothing. This does not happen as much on right turns. Ford has spend days testing and checking everything (mechanical and electrical) and cannot find the cause. I fear it is a design problem. In any case it is very unsafe. Has anyone else experienced this problem? We also hitched our trailer to another new 2019 (4 miles on the odometer) Expedition identically equipped as ours with the same results leading us to believe it is a system wide problem. Otherwise drive train seems fine so far. Review update: As of 8/30/19 Ford has decided to replace the entire Rack and Pinion steering module which includes the Steering Control Module. They are also going to replace the Restraint Control module which has the yaw sensor in it. This work to be done the week of 9/8/19. PS: This steering problem is an issue to the right as well, just not as frequent or as severe. The problem to the left is quite severe and on every left turn. Also we hitched a totally different trailer with a different hitch system and had the same steering problem results. As of 9/16/19 after Ford had replaced the entire steering rack and pinion unit including the Steering Control Module and the Restraint Control Module which included the "yaw" sensor. Testing after that work indicates that there is no change. The steering problem still exists if not worse and now Ford has told us they are not going to do anything more to fix the steering problem on our 2019 Ford Expedition. Since March 27, 2020 we tow tested a 2020 Ford Expedition and a 2020 Lincoln Navigator. The 2020 Expedition exhibited the same unsafe hard left pull characteristic as our 2019 model but the Lincoln did not. Ford engineering claimed the test not to be conclusive "because the Navigator is not an Expedition" what ever that means. Ford engineering claimed the unsafe hard left pull is a "normal Characteristic" of the Expedition and as such is not covered under the warranty. This is an unsafe condition and appears to be a serious design defect. Since Ford is refusing to honor their warranty we have had to file for arbitration against Ford with the Better Business Bureau Auto Line. We will never buy a Ford again and will never recommend them.
