It's big and can haul around passengers or cargo. I have the limited edition with 302A package and the car has all the bells and whistles such as cameras, parking assistant, heated and cooled seats, etc. Most important to me is that the seats are very comfortable. Anyone who has driven the car is surprised by the quick pick up it has.

2018 Expedition-Fulfilled requirements

So far we like the 2018 Expedition. It had low mileage at 41,800 miles and we needed a Ford Expedition with the ability to pull 9000 lbs. This vehicle fit the bill with its heavy duty tow package (including 3.73 rear end). During our search, we determined most Expeditions could only pull 6000lbs. And we also needed lumbar support front power seats which this vehicle had. Several things that we were disappointed with are that the vehicle didn’t have blind spot monitoring (BSM), which we are used to on previous vehicles, and that the vehicle only had the original Ford SYNC 4.2inch screen, not SYNC 3 8 inch screen which was already a common feature on many 2018 Ford vehicles. We realize its trim level was just XLT but we were still disappointed. However we new this buying the car so we can’t complain. After buying, we determined the original Ford SYNC 4.2 inch screen was too small to be much use so we upgraded. We overcame the lack of Ford SYNC 3 by buying an OEM after market upgrade SYNC 3 kit which resolved that shortcoming but it was pricey. It took about an hour and a half for me to modify the vehicle and convert the SYNC 4.2 inch screen to a SYNC 3 8 inch screen. Since we plan on keeping the vehicle for a while we decided the upgrade price was worth it. Besides the bigger more usable 8 inch backup screen the Sync 3 upgrade adds CarPlay so the vehicle will integrate better with our iPhones.

Expedition was in dire need of an update and Ford has one a good job. Vehicle is solid in many aspects and is a pleasure to drive. Great for long highway trips.
