Ford has succeeded in a rear suspension system that cant be fixed. The Tow package with self leveling shocks are insufficient to tow trailers within the spec of the towing capacity...back end sags and there are no fixes. The ford dealer scratches their head and says they cant verify the problem. There are no aftermarket solutions I have found that fit this vehicle. Took it to a trailer specialist who also could not find a solution. Had a 2011 Expedition that pulled the same trailer without issue. Upgrading to the 2017 was an expensive mistake. Next tow vehicle probably wont be a Ford because of this issue.

Dare to compare. Passenger comfort for eight with shoulder room and smooth ride from the independent rear suspension, honest seventeen miles per gallon average as advertised, responsive electric power steering, ease of entry for third passenger seating, smooth acceleration of twin turbo six cylinder engine, excellent paint finish. rear side windows opening for air flow, and the 22 inch rims with fold down running boards exemplify class. Folding mirrors, wide angle low light capability reverse camera, vehicle dead spot warning lights in mirrors are efficient, stereo interface with voice commands are seamless. I commend Ford! Puts the competition to shame.

Brakes Failed

My 2017 with under 60k miles that is always serviced at the dealer experienced a complete brake failure resulting in a crash. Ford won’t even acknowledge the problem. I had to pay to have the brake booster replaced. Very dangerous and irresponsible in my opinion.

so far the gas mileage is not even close to what the manufacture rates it, when we drove it home it had a wind noise on the drivers side that came from poorly installed weather stripping, our dealer fixed it perfectly but it shouldn't have come from the factory that way, raising and lowering the center seats to get in the back is not that easy, must always remember to tilt the headrest in or they dig into the front seats. On a positive side, it has a lot of room particularly in the third row where you wouldn't expect much which is the only reason we bought it vs the GMC Denali model. At this point we only have a 1000 miles on it so tough to do much more rating.

So disappointed in Ford

I bought this car used and after only one week the blower motor went out which happened again three times within the next year. When moving across the country I was stranded for two days in a motel because something in my acceleration broke. In my last oil change I was shown coolant in my oil which means head gasket. That should be a couple thousand. Today I got in and the AC is t working. Not to mention how many plastic pieces have broken when pulling the seats forward. For the amount of money this car should be my dream but instead it is a money pit. I’ve sunk $3500 into it and I haven’t even owned it for two years. They are so confused at the dealership that I take it to saying they’ve never seen this before. I’m always waiting with the credit card for the next repair. This car has spent more time in the shop then my done 2003 Chevy.
