👍🏽👍🏽 Not experts and our car expectations are not high for two retirees that don’t drive much on a limited island in Hawaii. For us this car is perfect! The size is right, the ride is comfortable, the room in the back seat is amazing! The tech in this car is most impressive coming from a 2006 Ford Escape Hybrid that still runs fine but drives like a truck. This Escape looks and drives more like a car with really great all new styling. Was planning to buy a 2019 on year-end clearance but Escapes at 3 Ford dealers here did not have any of the tech safety features found standard in 2020’s co-pilot 360° a must have. Using our newly discovered Costco Member best pricing and adamantly declining the ResistAll chemicals and unneeded Theft Protection our new Escape 2020 is worth every penny more than any 2019 Year-End Deal! We are planning to buy another on trade-in for our son’s 2012 Ford Focus (he used the 7 yr extended drive train warranty stalled on a CA freeway on-ramp potentially deadly). It was meant for college dorm days and he’s still a poor college student it’ll be a graduation gift on his PhD. Escape is a much bigger & better also safer car for CA freeways might get him the bigger 2.0L engine for CA driving. Our 2006 Escape Hybrid only gets 22 mpg this 2020 supposed to get 30 so we shall see? Reason I didn’t want to deal w/another Escape Hybrid is it’s not worth paying thousands more for driving so little for minimal gas savings. Also main reason is here most auto shops will not service Ford Hybrids so we could only take it to the dealer which is not convenient and more expensive.

Perfect Fit!

I'm thrilled every time I drive my new car! I wanted a 2.0L engine, so the upgrade I needed to get that engine gave me a lot of things I wouldn't ordinarily have thought necessary, but I find I'm LOVING all the extra little things I never knew I needed! Top of the list....the heated steering wheel. My hands are always cold, and I hate wearing gloves, so that's a win-win. The hands-free liftgate has come in handy so many times already! And the automatic seat adjustment (moves up when you turn the car on, moves back when you turn it off, for easy exit) just feels like a treat. I really like their touchscreen (very user-friendly) and the way it syncs with my phone, so hands-free calls are a breeze, plus I get to listen to all my favorite tunes that are stored in my phone. I'm glad I went up to the 2.0, it feels like I'm riding on sunshine, smooth as silk, handles and corners well. Transmission feels smoother in the 2.0, as well. I never felt that Ford had great colors for their cars in the past, but I got the Blue Metallic, and I've gotten a lot of compliments on it! It's kind of a darker blue under the lighter blue metallic, and it just looks awesome. I really haven't found anything about it yet that I DON'T like!

Amazing, Efficient, High-Tech & Solid!!

I have a 2020 Ford Escape SE with the 1.5L turbocharged engine with just over 9,000 miles on it so far. I always run it in Sport mode (the most fun, least fuel efficient mode) and, amazingly, I’m averaging over 30 MPG in the city!!! It feels super solid and well-made and is very peppy with no noticeable turbo lag. Additionally, the interior feels very fresh and modern with a huge, high-resolution, touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay/Android Audio. Additionally, mine has the lane keeping system, automatic emergency pre-collision warning system, automatic high-beams (the greatest feature I never knew I needed) and my favorite feature, which is the driver and passenger door handles have sensors in them that unlock the doors just by grabbing the handle (as long as the key is in your pocket). Additionally, to lock the doors, you simply touch the little raised lines on the top of the door handle (very futuristic feeling). Also, it has the remote start through the Ford mobile app. (oddly, not on the key fob, which would be my only gripe about the vehicle) and you can pre-program things like what the climate control is set at and even if the seat warmers come in when you do remote start. I am also super impressed with the cargo space and love that the second row of seats can slide forward or backward or fold completely flat depending on whether you need more people space or more cargo space. Overall, a tight, rattle-free (I’m super anal about vehicles that have creaks and rattles), modern, fuel-efficient, fun SUV!

The car has everything.....everything. Smooth ride, powerful engine, great looks and every feature you could possibly want. I especially like the sliding rear seats that can be moved to give lots of room in the back for tall people. And so far, 2800 miles, and the mileage is spot on.

My last Ford

I have owned Fords since 1999. Owned Escapes since 2007. I lease and traded in my 2017 for a 2020. Loved my 2017, really dislike this Escape. It is loud, uncomfortable, shifts roughly, and so many other issues. The backup camera went out right away, and now the second recall. I was planning on road trips with this car as soon as it’s safe to travel. I can’t imagine driving or riding in it for several hours.
