Horrible vibrations

Prior to purchasing this vehicle, please take note that when driving it you will experience horrible vibrations at 1500 RPM. I didn’t feel it during my short test drive. However, on my way home from the dealership I felt it and immediately called the sales rep. He said not to worry the vehicle is under warranty. I made a service appointment all to find out that this is actually normal due to a technology related to the transmission. It’s unbelievable to me that Ford will jeopardize vehicle performance for technology. I’m a loyal Ford customer and have had only great experiences with all my ford vehicles, including the work trucks for our business. This time I’m not happy. I miss the smooth drive from my edge.

ROCKY START

I love this car. But I will say it was a rocky start with the vehicle. Already have had two recalls in 8 months. One for the backup camera, one for ABS issue. I bought in May 2020, and there was a loud rubbing noise the car was making when going in reverse. I took back to the dealership and was immediately dismissed. Was told the car needed to warm up and let the rust come off the brakes and rotors in the morning. Few months go by, and it got worse and was making noise all hours of the day when going in reverse. Now to my fifth trip to the dealer (and several attempts to fix) they had to order new brakes and rotors to try to fix the problem. Did the research and looks like other 2020 Escapes are having the same issue. Don't dismiss if yours is doing the same! Other than that, I really do love the car. It is spacious, the gas mileage shines on the highway, the screen is positioned perfect in the vehicle.

Just hit 1100 miles in a month

Finished the first 1000 miles and everything runs great so far. Ford should've improved the hard plastic on the door panels. Rotary shifter and infotainment just feel amazing. The 3 cylinder engine does have a sensible vibration when one cylinder is automatically deactivated. Not an issue for highway driving but could be annoying if there are too many red lights on your way. I also noticed the auto deactivation occurred more often in ECO mode or when the tank is low. So I tried to avoid driving on the last 50 miles of gas.

Is it just me?

Just purchased a new 2020 SEL escape. Is it just me, or does it feel like I am sitting on an uncomfortable spring when driving? I had a 2013 escape which served me well. Unfortunately I was in an accident so I needed a new vehicle. I thought a new escape would be a no brainer. I like the car, I think it looks great (magnetic with sandstone-which is almost 2 tone with black accents interior). I am still learning what controls what and how the touch screen works. Miss my garage door access buttons too. Right now I like the "ActiveX" interior, and if it wears better than leather, great. Someone please tell me I'm not crazy feeling the spring like sensation on my butt!

I bought a 2020 Ford Escape hybrid last year and was initially happy. Then I noticed that it was making loud sounds, the interior and exterior was not well put together. I’ve currently takin it twice to fix the back light and carpet and have a third appointment for the carpet scheduled for next month. The interior has places that we not sealed. When I take it I. They say it’s fixed and it’s not. Hence the multiple times I’ve taken it for the same items to be repaired. They say they can’t figure out the sound I am complaining about but it runs very loud at times and it makes another sound that my family has complained about. I’ve even provided videos. Then they told me it was normal. On other websites owners have the same issues I am having. Be careful buying this car and do your research. 2/23/22:I loved the vehicle, space, and features. Unfortunately, it had issues early in and I had to go through the lemon law process. I just was refunded my money for the vehicle.
