2020 Ford Escape Titanium 4dr SUV AWD (2.5L 4cyl gas/electric hybrid EVT)

After having owned the Titanium AWD hybrid for 3 months and 3200 miles I'm glad I bought this Escape. I drove the Escape then The Rav4 , then the CRV hybrids in that order. After weighing everything I liked and didn't like about each the Escape won. IMO its better looking, better handling, infotainment is much better than the other two and gas MPG is great, in mixed driving best tank 42.2 worst 39.1. Its not a rock crawler but the AWD system works great on dirt roads and I've driven through rocky streams with no trouble while in electric mode most of the time.

Bought new 2020 Ti Hybrid. It always gets over 40 mpg and has gotten over 50 mpg on a couple of times. We traded in a Subaru Forester and the Esca6p6 is do much .ore comfortable and quieter. The only complaint is the substandard interior trim for the top of the line model.

Had to bring it back to dealer after 2 weeks

The Persian green is more blue than green The driver assist might kept coming on. I brought back to dealer after 70 miles. Turns out it’s a breaking mechanism and the part is on back order with no date to get a new part. My car has been in the dealer ever since. It’s been a month now.

Great feel and power

Our Titanium Hybrid runs smoothly, steering is tight, and the combination gas/electric motors have plenty of power. Although the motors turn off at stop, they start the moment your foot moves the accelerator. 550 miles between gas station visits. There is an ECO mode, where the car runs on electric only. Will try it on both city and highway driving. More room in front seats from the 2012 model we once owned. All the safety functions are worth their cost. The heads up feature and Gage show how close you are the vehicle in front. Why would anyone want the plus in model. It only gets 30 miles before it needs a charge. The Hybrid never needs a charge, so long trips will never be delayed. Finally, the Hybrid looks like the non hybrid Escape model.

I test drove all of these vehicles and the rav4 had best performance, but worse ride very bumpy and testesed the hybrid XSE fully equipped, the Rogue was nice but to plastic tested the SL loaded, the CRV was just odd and blind spots where larger issue. The CRV needs help now. The chevy traverse was excellent but it came down to mileage and over all comfort the sub rolled like a truck. The escape titanium was great mileage was 44 City , 37 Highway. Ride was smooth and ford wanted the deal.
