My 2017 escape had paint coming off on the passenger side at the windshield we had to discuss with Ford to fix it we had to pay 250.00 to help fix it and now the driver side next to the windshield it coming off all we do is wash it ugggggg very disappointed in that but I love my Ford escape so I guess the paint job doesn't last as long as the car that sucks

Bought my 2017 Ford Escape brand new with just 17 miles on it. Loved it at first but after having it in the shop multiple times the honeymoon is over. It's a very cheaply made vehicle. From day one I have had issues with the mud guards under the passenger compartment flapping in the wind while you're going down the highway. Took it back 5 different times to have that fixed and all they did was pop it back on but it would just come right back off. Have had to have several expensive repairs that were fortunately covered under the warranty but now the warranty has run out and now at 85k miles the transmission is starting to give me problems. Had hoped to keep it until it was paid off but now I'm going to have to look at trading it in on a new vehicle. Won't be trading it in on another Ford.

20,000.00 for 4 years worth of paint

It is now 2021 and the paint is coming off all around the windshield… I did not expect this type of problem even at 70,000 miles. I called Ford after seeing another escape of the exact same year and model at the dealership with paint chipping off in the exact same places. I thought surely this must be a defect and Ford would make it right. WRONG… apparently this is the standard of expectation Ford will stand behind. So if you chose to spend your hard earned money on a fFord… be sure to add an additional 1500.00 for a new paint job after 4 years

Purchased new in 2017. At 39K 8 mos ago, car started intermittent shut off after stopping at stop light and no start after parking. Sometimes restart and sometime AAA battery jump. Dealer duplicated shut off after stopping and reprogrammed BCM. No crank or restart after you park continues. Back to dealer. Waiting for ans. Reported to NHTSA, carcomplaint.com, carfax.com, etc.
