Fix or repair daily still holds true
The vehicle is very nice to drive, the color was perfect for me. I was so impressed with Ford, this vehicle was loaded and at a great price. I was in love, but that soon ended and we are about to break up. I purchased the car 11/09 and 2 weeks later the headliner started comming down. The wires on the rearview mirror are exposed and a loud chirping/howling noise began with each take off. Ford is aware of the nosie, but has not come up with a fix as of yet. When the repairs to the brand new 2010 are complete, I will run not walk to get rid of this cute little rip off of a car. The lady who said that the seats stain from just water is right.
Not Impressed
I did not buy this vehicle, but did rent one for two weeks. Vehicle had approximately 13K miles. Ran the air conditioner most of the time and MPG was terrible. 15 - 17 MPG at the most. Interior design of seats makes it difficult to see left and right when changing lanes. Back seat headrests are high and obstruct view out the back. Seating for five adults was adequate.

best little suv in az
buy this vehicle from a ford dealer, you might get a better deal....i bought mine from drivetime but when the day is done we financed $33,000. which means to us, a down payment on a house. however the finance company worked very hard for us ...they were the best ever....unfortunately the payments were too much and we turned the escape back in. it drove like a charm no trouble at all....it looked good too. we have no idea how to clean the seats...dont have a clue as to what the material was and tried everything to get them clean...so you might want to put covers on right away.

Escape Limited
Just purchased a 2010 Escape Limited 4 cylinder with 6A. Enough power when needed. No trouble passing on the interstate. Sounds underpowered compared to a V-6 but doesn't handle that way. Quiet interior and smooth ride. Sync is ok but I have not fully used it yet. Would be nice to know what it will cost when the three year trial is up. Goes through snow very well. At first I was concerned about the Michelin low resistant tires in the snow but they work fine.
Best ride we found for an SUV
We have owened our Ford Escape XLT w/V6 engine for 2 weeks and we love it. The ride is very smooth, with the 6 shift transmission. We really enjoy the very low road noise, much lower that our KIA. The gas mileage is great 18 MPG in the city so fare. We are going on a long trip to Ohio soon and I will send and update on this wonderfull Ford Escape XLT when we return.
