Used 2019 Ford Edge Titanium 4dr SUV AWD (2.0L 4cyl Turbo 8A) Consumer Reviews
Better than my 2017!
I traded in my 2017 (which I was very happy with). Wasn't in the market, but dealer made a great offer. After 3 weeks with the vehicle, the upgrade was well worth it. It feels like Ford asked me "How can we improve on your 2017?", and then addressed all of my answers. The new 8-speed is super smooth, and the car feels much peppier especially off the line (it's no hot rod). The Start/Stop system is innocuous, and the ride is more refined as well. The dial shifter takes some getting used to (I reach for a stick that isn't there). The B&O stereo has better sound quality than the Sony system in my previous car. Build quality is much better, and the restyled hood gives better visibility than my previous one. Like the new steerable headlights (LED) and the fog lights, and the wireless charging. 1 year update: Everything above still holds. Have taken it on a couple of road trips and averaged 27-29 mpg highway depending on conditions. I never get below 21 mpg in all conditions. I recently noticed that Ford deleted the Adaptive Steering system in the 2019 that was part of the 2017 Ford Edge Titanium package (not that I ever used it). 18-month update: Above still holds. Also like the OTA updates that Ford provides for Sync 3. The latest updates have include enhancements to the Navigation sub-display next to the speedometer that shows Google Maps directions when using Android Auto. It also shows the speed limits. They also revised the Sync 3 "skin" to reflect the current Ford graphics style. 2-year update. Only one problem so far: faulty Windshield Washer motor, which dealer replaced under warranty. 30-month update: Ever since purchase, the front end had a clicking noise when turning. Two dealers couldn't find it. I took it to a third dealer (with a video of the issue occurring from my phone), and the dealer replaced both front half-shafts which eliminated the issue! Other than that, car's been great! 60-month update: Car is still running strong although transmission had to be replaced at 58K due to torque converter failure. Apparently, this is a known issue as I have seen a number of Edge owners compain about this in online forums. Ford replaced the transmission under warranty so no expense out of pocket. I recommend Bosch replacement windshield wipers for this car, as they make the least amount of noise/shuttering.

Windshield Distortion Titanium
Love the vehicle this my 3rd one. I am about to get my 4th windshield installed since April. There is bad distortion all around rear view mirror on every windshield. They are coming directly from Ford.

Best in Class
Drove all the competition and the Edge had more comfort and value than any of them in. Handles more like a sports car with a very smooth quiet ride. Traded up from the 2016 Edge for more safety and drivers assist features. Only issue so far is the Homelink, that doesn't want to work with my garage door. Ford is helping to find a fix

touchscreen
My touchscreen freezes daily . Sometimes I have a blue or a black screen . I put a wi fi extender in my garage and that does not seem to work either . If I get away from my house , turn it off , and go back , it works fine .The dealer had it for 2 days and said that all of the computer things were functioning normally . It drives like a race car and is quiet and comfortable . For the money it is quite a good value . I love it so far . May contact Ford directly about the touch screen .
A ride with trepidation.
I bought the titinium awd loaded with every features so you can imagine my disappointment when the vehicle left me stranded at a gas station. The lights flickered, engine ran all checked lights then just nothing. How was this vehicle allowed to get sold with rain sensing technology not working, foot lightgate not responsive, engine making buzzing electrical noise (didn't hear it til we got it home). So far vehicle has been in the shop twice. First time a nightmare due to dealership not taking complaints seriuosly. Saying that rain sensing technology couldn't be tested unless it rains. They ended up replacing unit due after 4 days. Why engine stalled, not a clue since the computers all say car is fine. Fordpass has been a no go to connect, the abs traction has kick in intermittently twice while on the road on beautiful clear day causing vehicle to slow and be unresponsive. Again, dealer says nothing on computer report. Second visit to Ford shop was much better, they did listen, somewhat fixed the issue with engine noise electrical connection, Fordpass connect but says there's no reading on computer that anything is wrong with vehicle. Overall, there's so many glitch happening that I'm willing to bite bullet and pay extras to trade to something else. Not a Ford.
