Cubic Zirconia in Diamond's clothing
I just leased my 2015 SEL in October. I love the way it drives and handles on the road. However; it has been in the shop twice with electrical issues in a month. The first time was when I tried to turn on the heat and no air came out. It turned out being a faulty pin according to the dealer. The next time was an electrical issue that prevented the car from starting and just about every warning light came on in the process. I'm beginning to question the reliability of this model. I traded in my 2013 Focus for the Edge, thinking that I was getting a better made vehicle , as I had electrical problems with the Focus, as well. To add insult to injury, the dealer (Lester Glenn) has a ridiculous loaner car program where there is a two week wait and only about 3 vehicles, according to the service manger. Are you kidding? Perhaps if there is that much volume in the service department, the dealer should invest in more loaner cars. Also, they should give priority to customers who purchase vehicles at the dealer. FORD= Fix Or Repair Daily! I traded it for a Jeep Grand Cherokee. I will never ever ever ever lease or buy another Ford!

'15 Ford Edge Ecoboost = Costly Broken Flexplate
I've had my 2015 Ford Edge Titanium Ecoboost for 15 months. I purchased used with only 36,000 miles. I'm now at 63,3100 and with 3100 over warranty Ford refuses to offer any sort of help repairing a broken flexplate and torque converter. Although I love the interior and exterior of the car I wish I had done more research before purchasing the Ford Edge because after extensive research I've found that many people have had the same problem and have read even after being fixed it will potentially happen again later down the road. It will be my last Ford and I say this broken heartedly as I've been a lifelong Ford fan owning three Fords at the current moment and having a father and a grandfather who collectively has owned 25 Fords. Even with this information when asked Ford Company what they were going to do to assure that I was going to continue to be in the Ford customer their only response was that I needed to keep my receipt for repairs in case of future recalls. Ford knows the flexplate and torque converter has issues in the Edge and Escape yet refuses to help with even labor costs. Unfortunately, as a teacher I do not have $2600 for repairs just lying around. When my car is fixed I plan to trade for a brand new Toyota Highlander. My family will no longer be a "Ford Family." I do NOT recommend the Ford Edge.

Just what we were looking for ...UPDATE- Nov. 2020
We love the size..We are able to get in and out of the Edge very easily. No problem with not enough room for your legs to swivel in and out of the seats..Not low and uncomfortable. The doors open wide enough to give you plenty of room to maneuver. Very nice feeling leather covered steering wheel. Had good pick up when I punched it to get on the freeway. Nice surprise..Traveled in the rain.. Good traction.. Only thing I am going to change are the headlights.. I want very bright lights. We live in the country and travel winding mountain roads..I am putting the brightest lights I can get on it..but the ones on it do light up good enough. I just wand VERY bright great lights..Plenty of room for hauling groceries and over night gear when traveling..Seats lay down easy..push of a button! We went from a Mercury Mariner to the Edge.. Sooo glad we found it.. A great size for replacing the out of production Mercury Mariner that we loved for years..I thought I wouldn’t find anything near as good..but I was wrong.. The EDGE is a 5 STAR in my book.. ***UPDATE...Nov. 2020 Well...We no longer have our Ford EDGE...I Loved it while we had it..We have traded it off for a 2020 Chevy Equinox.. Sadly..Our Edge developed some sort of electrical problem that seemed to be elusive and re-occurring. We had a warranty to cover the expense on the repair for the first 2 times..The back up camera would come on while we were driving forward down the highway..The speed of the car would drop to about 30 mph ...no matter how much gas you gave it with the pedal ..The fix was over $2,000 each time..Then we developed other electrical system issues that seemed to be on going..Our extended warranty was up and we had too many miles on the vehicle for it to be covered so the next bills would be totally on us..NOT GOOD!! A very costly repair! The battery would suddenly be drained completely.. We would go someplace and get stranded because when we came out ..the battery would be totally dead.. We would be locked out of our car. We had to use the emergency key hidden in the key fob (WHAT A PAIN that is to do)..The lights were not left on..There was some sensor draining the battery. It wouldn’t shut off..The mechanics couldn’t seem to solve this issue. At one time of being in the dealership garage..we bought a brand new battery as their diagnosis of what was wrong. That didn’t solve the issue as the mechanics thought it would. A month later the same thing..Got stranded with a totally drained battery..After months of electronic failures from the Ford Edge..we decided to trade it in. It was a nice car until it wasn’t.. We didn’t like the fact that the bottom of the doors didn’t seal tightly. You got a lot of noise from driving down the road and there was always a lot of road dirt on the inside of the door when you opened it..This was true of all the doors..BUT..if it hadn’t been for the issues we would still be driving the Ford Edge and enjoying the great room and ease of getting in and out of this vehicle for older people like us..or someone with mobility problems.

Switched from Grand Cherokee
After 30 years of Jeep Grand Cherokees, I switched to an Edge Titanium for price reasons. Very satisfied with the 2.0 L Eco-Boost turbo-charged engine; some typical turbo lag, but not a problem. Consistent mixed use mileage of 21-23 mpg. Ground clearance is less than Jeep and there is no selectable low range gear, however neither has been a problem so far; my concern was my long steep snow covered driveway. Good handling and crisp steering control. Overall a very good vehicle, and I am completely satisfied with the purchase decision. We think it's a great vehicle. Original tires were unacceptable for uphill use in snow, replaced with snow tires now OK.
