I'm not sure about the previous owner of this car, I purchased it with 97000 miles on it. It now has 117000, I have dropped the tranny in this car 3 times in this time. When I bought it, 2 days later 3rd gear was found to be chipped and caused a grinding when shifting into it. Following that the shift control assembly failed, had that replaced for $600.00 from ford. Just recently the differential blew up! There are now 2 small holes in the transmission housing and finding a new differential or even an aftermarket lsd is not cheap by any means. Again I don't know how the car was driven or taken car of but it has caused me nothing but large problems since I bought it.

Bought this car based on great reviews and it has delivered. Very few problems(but for recalls). For the money I don't honestly know better 'driver's car' and I have owned and continue to own BMWs. Get one, take good car of it and I definitely believe you will have a very saleable commodity.

Sure this car handles well, looks good and sounds good but I had to buy a new transmission around 50K miles then another around 65K miles. The interior was the also falling apart starting with the dash. It warped so wildly we had to remove the windshield to epoxy the dash back on. All the transmission work cost us around $6,000. Over all this car is money pit. If you buy one get it for cheap.

I love my car. Power, performance, exhaust sound...Whew whoooo!!!! But, and it's a big but, I've had the in the shop 6-8 times since I've owned it with little thing here and there going wrong: O2 sensor replacement, fuel monitoring replacement, fluid sensor replacment, sunroof motor replacement, dashboard replacment.....I dread to think what it will be like at 50,000 miles as it only has 30,000 right now.

in the 3 years i've owned this car, the motor has blown, i'm now working on a 3rd transmission, there's electrical issues and fog lights that blow out about every 3-4 months. the car makes excessive noise when driving and when you're on the interstate you hear nothing but road noise. its loud enough to the point you almost cant talk on a cell phone. this quite possibly could be one of the worst investments someone could ever make!!!
