Used 2018 Ford C-Max Hybrid Wagon Consumer Reviews
To the Max
Pick-up and acceleration is phenomenal for a car getting 38-42 mpg. Fun to drive, quiet, spacious except for back seats which don't recline fully and aren't adjustable enough. Instrumentation, front seat comfort and technology integration are far better than the 2017 RAV4 I leased before.

surprised by the fuel economy
I love my cmax. My wife laughed at me when I brough the car home. I have always been a truck guy. But I drive 25 miles to work and the fuel economy was killing me. After owning the cmax for 2 months I was amazed at the fuel economy I was averaging 42 mpg in the winter. In the summer I have had it as high as 47.2mpg . I love the way it handles. It has plenty of power to get on the highway, which is where I do most of my driving .

Best All Around Car I Have Driven
The CMax is a strong all around performer. It accelerates and handles well while still having a great ride. It has the cargo space of an SUV and handles well in the snow (though it doesn’t have a lot of ground clearance). The good thing about the mileage is that it is higher in the city. So, if you do a lot of city driving like me you save a ton of money, even if the highway mileage isn’t stellar. In my mind, most people would be insane to buy many of the other hybrids over this one. This is the one that is able to accelerate at a safe clip, is practical for families and is still very comfortable and safe. I will leave you with this anecdote. When my wife was pregnant and I was driving her to the hospital. I looked down and was going 97 MPH. This car is so smooth, quiet and competent I didn’t realize I was driving at reckless speeds!

Compact SUV
Fantastic vehicle which I don't understand why Ford doesn't advertise more. Listed as a wagon but It to me is totally a Compact SUV. Leather seats and esthetics of the interior are unsurpassed. New purchase for under $20,000 I enjoy driving the C-Max more than the new Corvette and Charger I previously purchased. This is my ultimate retirement vehicle which I suspect will be with me for at least the next 10 years. The 188 HP is fantastic and I'm getting @ 39 mpg even with my heavy foot.

2018 C-Max fun to drive economical vehicle
After test driving this vehicle, a year prior to purchasing, I knew when the time came for a new car, this would be it. I was so happy my salesman was able to track a new one down since there were few remaining within a 300 mile radius. So sad this model is now discontinued. I keep a running mpg average which now reads 39.1 for 5400 miles combined hwy. and city. The car handles great in snow. It Is also fun to drive and has ample cargo space. I am even able to transport my 8ft kayak with back seats down. Although other hybrids may achieve higher mpg's I am very pleased with this Ford version. It is stylish and a good value for the price.
