I love this truck. Had it a little over a year and have had no problems. Rides great and has lots of get-up-and-go even though it doesn't have the Hemi. I can't imagine how much power this thing would have with a Hemi, the standard V8 is that good. Handles amazingly well considering its size. Great ride and plenty of passenger room.

While driving down the fwy at aprox 75mph the truck shakes so bad you can not talk with fear of biting your lip. i have been to the dealer to fix the problem with no luck i am going to replace my rear shocks after 1 month of ownership.

The truck is beautiful. Its fun to drive and you feel safe. However, if you are concerned about gas mileage, forget it. If you are concerned about mileage don't even look at a pickup truck.

The Dodge Ram Quad Short Bed is the worst riding vehicle that I have ever owned. If you do alot of freeway driving than you will hate this vehicle. You feel every little bump in the road. When driving on a concreat sectioned freeway, the truck will bounce, thrash, and shake at every joint section. If you have a drink in the cup holder it will be all over the cab. The seats are nice but I have not been able to find a comfortable setting.If you go back to the dealer to discuss this, they will tell you that you bought a truck and there is nothing they can do. Good Luck

Awesome truck. I've owned a Dodge since 97'. Seems every 3 years I'd get an upgrade. I honestly can't see Chrysler making many more improvements on the Ram 1500. My brother bought a 4.7L and I drove it around a little. At the same time, Iowned a 2001 5.9L. When I compared them both to the 5.7L HEMI... I was simply amazed. DO NOT... I REPEAT... DO NOT buy a Ram without the 5.7L HEMI. It's just not the same. (Example: My wife owns a 2003 Honda S2000. We raced... I didn't pass her but she never gained a foot on me for about 2 blocks).

This is our 3rd Dodge. The other two were Grand Caravans. I can personally attest to Dodge quality and safety. My husband was hit and broadsided in his Grand Caravan. It sustained $15,000 worth of damage, but he came out with only very minor injuries,l thanks to Dodge engineering. Our new 2004 Ram 1500 slt has that same quality feel and weight, yet it handles adeptly and the ride is great. The seating is very comfortable, the lit instrument panel easy to read and overall, it is an excellent ride. Theres plenty of storage, and the front seat center console box is great for storing maps and other needed quickly items.

I've wanted one of these for years. I got a good deal at the end of the year. The dealership added on a bunch of extras that made the truck beautiful and more functional (chrome steps and cargo bars, burled wood interior, etc.) This turned out to be a mixed blessing. The dealership contracted with a vendor to install a powered rear slider window in the cab. The window has been repaired twice and the dealership has had to change vendors to get the problem corrected. The lesson: Be wary of after market add- on's. Some may give you more grief than pleasure.

The Lone Star Package is great. This is the 1st HEMI I have owned in a truck, and let me say WOW. That is some power, off the line and on the highway, you will not be disappointed. I have had no problems in the past 3 years, and with the great deal am not upside down on my loan :~). Just wish it had a sun roof. For RAW power and decent mpg, its well worth the money. This truck can get almost 18MPG highway, or down to 9mpg if you have a lead foot and love speed. The bottom line is the power is there when you need it!

I got the truck at 7000 miles, and have loved it ever since. My satisfaction only improved once I had dual flowmasters installed on it. My wife loves it on trips, but hates me driving, because i like to use the HEMI power. This is the first vehicle I have ever owned that she prefers to ride in over her 4cyl car.

THE FLAME RED DODGE HEMI RAM 1500 QUAD CAB IS CUSTOMIZED BY ELKIN INDUSTRIES. IT HAS 20 INCH TIRES AND RIMS AND IS A REAL LOOKER. THIS TRUCK LOOKS EVEN BETTER THE MORE I KEEP ADDING. IT HAS A RED INTERIOR DASH AND RED AND BLACK LEATHER HEMI SEATS. THE PERFORMANCE IS GREAT. I CAN'T SAY ENOUGH ABOUT THIS TRUCK AND BOY DOES IT GET THE LOOKS WITH THE RED TONNEAU COVER AND SPOILER.

THIS TRUCK RIDES GREAT. IF YOU CAN GET THE HEMI, GET IT. THERE IS PLENTY OF POWER WHEN YOU NEED IT. NOT TO GOOD ON GAS BUT IT IS A FULL SIZE TRUCK. THE INTERIOR IS NICE FOR THE MONEY,AND IS QUIET INSIDE. YOU WILL NOT GO WRONG WITH THIS TRUCK.

i am extremely satisfied with my Dodge RAM...the other trucks out there pale in comparison...My RAM is reliable and dependable. I drove a Colt before i got me my first Dodge RAM now i refuse to buy anything else! My first Dodge had to be retired after of course saving my life in the only major accident i have had...that is why i won't buy anything else! My RAM was a lifesaver!

I have been very happy with this truck. I wish I had gotten a different engine (4.7 or 5.7) and not the 20 inch wheels. They look great but new tires will cost a fortune

I bought this truck in 2002, has the 4.7 with full towing package. I towed a 25 ft travel trailer to Utah last year. (fr0m Louisiana) Not one problem. I towed to Connecticut and New York this year with a new 28 ft trailer. I wish I had the Hemi, but it wasn't available at the time of purchase. Still the truck performed flawlessly. My wife loves it. This is my first Dodge. Odometer is now at 35000. With the 20 inch tires the ride is nice and smooth. My next move will be up to the 2500. My trailers seem to be getting bigger not smaller.

Best vehicle I have driven for overall comfort and versatility. The ride compares to many luxury vehicles. The 4.7L could use more power on steep uphill grades. High frontal and side winds cause some steering issues, but not enough to be a safety issue. Fuel economy needs to be addressed.

I have been unable to find the 5.7 liter Hemi in any of these sites. So here we are. I am not a truck person, but my husband has wanted one for a very long time! We got it right before being stationed in Germany. Very big truck for this country. Lot easier in the states, but still very big. Also the gas mileage!! Not very good, but what can you expect from a 5.7 liter Hemi? I do love it now though!

I've found my Dodge truck to be both fun and tough. It went through being rear ended at 20+ mph with only minor damage and no occupant injuries. It does pretty well on mpg with averages of over 20 mpg on the highway. I drove it through a huricane in SC through headlight deep water and high winds with no problems at all. It handles well and with the hemi engine has plenty of power and performance. I am very pleased with this truck.

Actually broke down in the first 35 miles. Dealer was outstanding in getting bad wiring repaired. Still the best truck owned.

The 1500 quad cab has all the creature comforts one could ask for in a truck (the Laramie offroad package). Although gas mileage lacks (mine gets about 13- 14 mpg in town) it is a great ride over distances and passing acceleration is nothing short of awesome (from 75 to over a 100 in a heartbeat). Having added a Rhino liner, a clear bra and a hard tonneau cover this is one good looking ride and it does get noticed.

Very nice truck, just towed a relative's Taurus 250 miles & truck didn't even break a sweat (mine has the 4.7L engine). Well made vehicle, Infinity audio system is excellent. Power is good with the base 4.7, gas mileage is ok too considering this is a full size truck. Truck has the optional Goodyear 265/70x17's Wrangler SR/A's, much better ride than the standard Michelins. 20" wheels look good but give the truck a buckboard ride on the first truck I demo drove at the dealer.

We love our Dodge Hemi! We have driven tthroughthe rough desert terrain, and pulled horses with it. We love how roomy the interior is; We eat our food on the huge arm between us, like as if it were a table, when we are on the road. We think it is the toughest loking, that actually performs up to its appearance!

I bought a brand new Dodge Ram Quad Cab in August 2003. It had the 4.7 in it, which was fine for what I was using it for. But I test drove a Hemi in February of 2004 and fell in love with it. It feels much tighter all the way around. Needless to say, I traded in the 4.7 to get the 5.7. If you are debating whether or not to get the Hemi...GO FOR IT! It is well worth the extra $895.

I love my truck. I painted out the doors and mirrors and it looks awesome! It is the best truck you could buy and the best I have ever had. It is really reliable and safe. I have had many people come up to me and ask if they could have my truck. I definantly recommend this truck to you.

I just picked up my 2004 Quad cab HEMI Ram and I'm totally impressed. The styling, 20 in Wheels, HEMI power (opt 3:92 gear) this truck really HAULS THE MAIL! Too new to comment about gas mileage, but after trading in my '99 GMC Suburban w/ 454 motor (9 mpg)...anything will be a pleasant change. It handles like a sports car and rides like a dream.
