Dodge Journey best suv I ever owned.

I have been buying cars for 35 years. I don't know who is paying off these Edmonds to give this auto poor review. I am a mechanic and this auto is very well built. It handles excellent for an suv better then a Honda or Toyota suvs. I have owned both a Honda Crv and a Toyota Rav 4. Both of them were noisy and poor riding. Something odd is going on because the Journey is an excellent suv and is very quiet and handles excellent. Some one is getting paid off for giving the poor reviews of this suv. Because of this social media crap from Edmonds and other companies that review cars they are discontinuing it. It s awful when a bunch of thugs like Edmonds does this. Some one hi up is getting paid off from Honda or Toyota to give it a poor rating. If you do not believe me drive one yourself and see what I am saying.

My Journey

I recently bought a 2020 Dodge Journey and I love it. My kids love it and it does everything I need it to do. I can load it up with all of their hockey gear, soccer bags and balls and softball bags and bats. It's engine is quieter than a Subaru Forester, Honda CR-V and Toyota Rav4. Yes Dodge didn't change much of the exterior but I have always like it because its an athletic design, not too much over the top and not too little. Call me an old fashioned 39yr old but the vehicle ride is great and the seats are extremely comfortable. When you read so called professional reviews just remember your not track racing this vehicle like they do. It's a great family vehicle with value.

4 Cylinder Workhorse

I reflect similar views to that of the 5-Star reviews here but I knocked one off due to the reasons I’ll explain below after test driving one for two weeks. Interior: This SUV handles, drives and feels like a truck in the driver seat. The display for the radio as well as the gauge clusters is bright, clear and appeasing to the eyes. The speakers are of excellent quality for the price of the vehicle! The interior such as seat upholstery to the flooring is of very good quality no to mention the seats are seriously comfortable. Dodge included loads of lighting in this SUV for night driving/unloading of said SUV and I have to say those small additions won me over. Performance: This SUV is a slower accelerating SUV and due to the 4-speed transmission she revs rather high to get up to speed on average 3.5-4K RPM’s when going up hills/leaving a light in heavy moving traffic. However, this engine works hard in all the right ways, once you obtain speed maintaining 60-80 MPH on flat roads is too easy. The 19 inch wheels feel excellent through the body of the car as well as the steering wheel/foot pedal. I am a very picky driver and I hate a rough feeling suspension but this one does great maintaining a balance of soft and sporty. The mileage for an SUV this size and offering is quite good as well, with 25MPH in heavy city/highway traffic being what she is put through regularly. Some cons: •The Bluetooth system doesn’t always auto connect •Some of the interior panels feel and appear of cheap-ish design quality relative to the seats •The cabin doesn’t insulate heat all that much in cold cold weather. I.e (Blasting the heat and turning it off suddenly you can feel the cold instantly overwhelm the heat) •Dodge should have made this a 5-Speed!

The SUV I have is a month old to me. so far I like it. I had a 2005 pt cruiser that i bought in 2013 and just sold it this year. it had a little over 207,000 miles with minor repairs (to me), no accidents, and still runs like almost new...i guess. now back to the journey, I fly rc airplanes and it will haul every plane i got plus my rc cars. some of the other SUV's in its class couldn't do that. the engine has enough power for what i need and I like the transmission because im used to 4 speed w/ OD. the radio could have had bluetooth and xm, but it is what it is and i'm satisfied. they should have added standard fog lights. this truck, in my opinion, is a great vehicle. the dealers don't know too much about the cars on their lots and that's dissappointing...just trying to make that sale. anyone who drives any type of car will get frustrated when stuck in traffic no matter how comfortable, appealing, or a gas saver it is, all that satisfaction goes out the window. so for my review about this truck, it goes where and when I need it, so I'm not complaining....YET.

Great small SUV with 3rd row seating. Easy to get around town in & daily drive to work. Lots of power for a 4 cylinder SUV

I drove this car for three weeks through the South, climbing through the Smoky mountains and heading back up north through interstates. Overall, it's probably the worse suv I've ever ridden. Poor handling, poor suspension, slow acceleration, terrible fuel economy. Just cheap and poorly designed. Who puts a v4 with a four speed gearbox in a three row SUV?

I was given one as an insurance rental for a month. Because it is a rental it has the 4 cyl engine and base level equipment. Gas mileage is less than 20 mpg city, I feel like I’m going to be ran over attempting to merge into oncoming traffic, the engine shifts as hard as a 16 y.o. Driving a manual for the first time, and it looks like a minivan. Why was this vehicle even made?
