when sitting stopped fan on low this sounds like the squirrel cage fan rubbing something. Very annoying.

Almost Perfect

But for a annoying brake noise problem that GM is well aware of and working on (doesn’t affect performance) this Traverse is awesome when you consider your bang for the buck. Traded in a Equinox for the Traverse and found the bigger Traverse to handle better than the smaller Equinox. Great interior room and very comfortable for all including great space for me as a 6’3” driver. Smooth and great safety features that make long trips easier to endure. Third row seating is roomy and has easy access. When the third row is down the space is huge holding a wheelchair, battery buggy and luggage all without having to stuff it in there. A very spacious hidden compartment at the tail end holds all that “extra” stuff that we usually put into our vehicles. Having to captain seats in the second row rather than a bench seat provides all kinds of extra room for that personal stuff like backpacks, school bags, purses, instruments (9 grandkids) etc etc. The engine is responsive and so smooth you don’t feel it shifting up or down. It handles better than its smaller cousin the Equniox and gets just as good gas mileage. We considered other similar vehicles but found that for the money The Travers was the smartest choice for us.

'21 Traverse

I was searching for a used Traverse, 2018 model year or later. I found mine as a used vehicle with 300 miles on it. The options that this vehicle had was very appealing. Not too much, but not the bare minimum either. What helped me buy this Traverse was 2 things. Features and Price. Instead of a 2018 with 40,000 or 50,000 miles with a price in the low 30's, this one was a '21 for only $4,000 more. The size is perfect for us with towing capacity of 5,000 lbs. Beautiful design, ride and handling. Can't wait to hit the open road!

Walked in to get an oil change for my Chevy Equinox Premier and saw this gorgeous RIDE on the showroom floor! When I first shopped Traverse I thought ugggh too plain, however this Black on Black baby with Roof Racks just stood out! I called my hubby and said I am taking it for a test drive he said do it!!! Did it and bought it. Very Impressive SMOOTH RIDE and QUIET, the leg room in the 2nd row is superior and the V6 gives enough power. LOVE the little Hidden Storage behind the infotainment screen with Valet lock. The rear storage is plenty big enough. Mine does not have all the bells and whistles of a Premier or High Country but I don't miss any of them like I thought I would. Overall its been an excellent vehicle, I normally keep mine about 2 years before trading and have driven many brands of SUV's. This would be one of my top rated SUV's. One other thing to mention is everyone thinks I am police and pulls over ... lol ;)

Transmission fluid leak

Laura, 07/12/2022

I loved this car, at first. Now I am planning on trading it in this weekend. I’ve owned it 1 year to the day and it’s been in the shop 3 times totaling about 8 days. One day the car started shifting really funny. The engine light would come on and flash. Then 2 days later it made strange sounds and was misfiring a lot. I brought it into Chevy and they found automatic transmission fluid in the engine and ended up having to replace a cylinder coil. They should not be ATF in the engine! After that I noticed ATF all over my garage floor. Brought it back in and they found a leak from the torque converter, so they replaced that and a bunch of seals and gaskets (which took 5 days!). The transmission was always jumpy and not smooth while shifting, but since all the leak problems it’s worse. I haven’t noticed any more leaks on the garage floor but we’ll see how long that lasts. By the way, it only has 8,500 miles on it. It’s beautiful inside and out, but the transmission is garbage!!!
