The Tahoe is no longer top-of-the-line.

We have owned a Sierra Denali, three Silverado‘s, a Yukon Denali and now a Tahoe. I went from the Yukon to an Expedition for 2 years, but after numerous small things breaking on the Expedition, I was thrilled to get rid of it and purchase a 2017 Tahoe. Beautiful car, smooth ride, But unfortunately it is clear that the quality is not there anymore. We are at 55,000 miles And it is now in the shop for the third time with fuel injection issues and injectors need to be replaced. Since we are Just out of our certified warranty, they cost $1300 each. I have had to service managers from two different dealerships tell me that this is a known issue and to expect to replace all eight of them eventually. My car went into the shop December 14 came home for one day and went right back in and here we are with it still in the shop on January 7. This is three weeks with no car. We have been told that it is GM’s policy that if you were outside of warranty, no loaner car will be issued no matter how long they keep your car. on the assembly line, they are putting in faulty injectors and it will be your responsibility to pay to replace them as they go bad. We have gone round and round and I am so extremely disappointed by Customer Care. They keep calling me telling me they have contacted the dealership for info and the dealership has not received one call from them. The dealership has contacted GM and is unable to get us any cost assistance even though this is a known issue. As for the air conditioning issues I see on these reviews, this is why my neighbor says she got rid of her 2017 Tahoe. The AC kept breaking and they kept having to pay to fix it. These cars are too expensive to be having to dump money into the house this early on. We have always bought GM vehicles because they are reliable and well-made cars. Unfortunately, I am going to get rid of this one and check out some other options for full-size SUVs. So disgusted at the amount of time and money that has been spent on this car I was so excited to have. If you are looking for a safe and dependable car for towing around kids or family road trips, I don’t recommend the Tahoe!

2015-17 all GMC have problems with cracking ac lines and cost of fixing it estimated at $1000-$1400 . Google it by your self . It’s not about if , it’s about when . Your line will crack sooner or later . Same with front camera , one big failure , $1000 to fix it . It’s a sh.... truck . Have 2017 tahoe and fixing it every week spending thousand . Do your reaserch . It’s all over internet . Big class action lawsuit for AC . Front camer internal error , unable to fix , $1000 exchange by dealer only because you have to service it after installation with special tool . Forget about this car .

AC out 6x! GM Nor Autonation will make it right

I bought my top of the line 2017 Tahoe in June 2017. I've had AC problems literally since day one. The awful "service" department has attempted to fix it SIX times! They usually replace the expansion valve and twice the compressor Last month being the latest. It's already making a very familiar hissing sound. But, it's still cold outside, so I won't know for sure until I'm driving kids around in a hot car in the Texas heat! Getting a loaner takes usually 2 weeks. I sometimes just go without, because sharing a vehicle that has ac with your husband is better than driving an expensive new Tahoe burning up in Texas in August! Or let's face it, any other month in Texas! I've attempted to speak with someone at Autonation. I get Tony who says he "isn't prepared to talk" about anything other than making the service appointment. When mentioning the Lemon Law, he says I'll have to take it up with GM directly. #newchevytahoenoac. #autonation6failedserviceattempts. I know every company will have product issues from time to time. It's how it's handled (or not handled) that is the telltale of a horrible company.

Small details gone wrong that makes huge safety and comfort differences. Zero lighting inside mortgage. I've never seen this before. If we are unloading the Tahoe at night, there is zero visibility. The fold down DVD player completely blocks visibility through the back windshield in the rearview mirror. The DVD player and all of the interior from passenger to back of Tahoe seems cheaply made. My keyless entry remote are made of the cheapest lightweight plastic. My owners manual came in a little zip lock bag. I had to get my fog lights put in aftermarket because my $61k Tahoe didn't come with them. Navigation has limited functions. Phone system doesn't store favorites. 2 cup holders for a 7 seater. I've had 2 Yukons and a Durango that were made with more care and detail. For a vehicle at this price, Chevrolet really missed the mark.

Been having my 2016 year and half. Nothing but problems. After 8 months car wouldn’t start had to call triple A and get jumpstart several times. Chevy said bad battery but wanted me to pay. Next automatic lift gate stop working, had repaired and stop working again. Next touchscreen stop responding to touch. Next air condition vents keep popping out in backseat area. NOW air conditioner is blowing hot air! Soo angry!! Buyer Beware!!
