2017 Chevy Equinox LT-engine performance
I purchased this SUV used in March 2018 with 21K miles. I really liked the looks and seat comfort. Two weeks after purchasing the car, the stability track sensor went bad, no problem there, Chevy fixed it at no charge. On April 2019, battery died, car is not even 2 years old (manufactured in August 2017), Chevy dealer said that battery's life average is 2 years, really??? Now, three months later the same alert came (stability control) but Chevrolet ended up changing a defective fuel pump, again car is not even 2 years old. I am glad I purchased an extended warranty, so I will be cover for the next 4 years or until the car hits 125K. I love the heated seats (nice lumbar massage), leather steering wheel cover, the cargo space, the smoothness of the ride, the radio, satellite, and the quiet engine. What I am not crazy about it, is the MPG; 90% of my travel is highway with cruise control and the MPG is max at 22. I use the E85 gas with no problems so far. I know if I fuel with regular gas (89), I'll get more mileage, but paying 20 ¢ less per E85 gallon works for me! I have no choice other than to keep the car for a few more years because it owes more than is worth. But it has let me stranded 3 times in 16 months, so I am not too confident on the future performance of this car. 7/10/2020 10 months after getting the fuel pump replaced, car had the same problems. Per the Chevy dealer mechanic, the culprit of continuous fuel pump failure is the E85 gas. The recommendation is to alternate fuels every other tank filling. The E85 "gunks" the fuel pump. Which contradicts the manufacturer's recommendation which encourages the use of E85 gas. So, I guess Chevrolet is using a low quality fuel pump that is not designed for 100% E85 fuel use.

Love my equinox
Great car all around and best of all the price I purchased the vehicle. The durability, relay reliability and economy is outstanding.

shiny look but not too impressive.
Just rented this brand new UV for a week. First off the car's exterior design looks nice, Interior is also very comfy especially the driver side and driver console, everything is well placed, The tech on the car dash was awesome the infotainment system. What is bad about this car is the power, it is seriously lacking power, acceleration is horrible, i mean the worst of any car i have driven. The backseat space is also pretty limited if you have people in the back. The gas mileage also was not great, it eats up a lot of gas. Overall a nice looking and comfortable car but the serious lack of power made me want to return this rental car in early for something else.
