1999 Chevrolet Cavalier 4dr Sedan

Lowest end model--no electric windows. 5 speed still spunky for its age, can do 320 miles on full tank, a plus when gas prices soared. Normal maintenance is done on time keeping it going. Never had issues with trans or motor. Parts are breaking down in past 3 years which is inevatable; abs, A/C, wheel alignment, cluster, front end suspension but willing to replace cause it's been good to me. I wish it wasn't discontinued.

The only kind of repairs done to the car are general maintenance and a brake job and new battery after 4 years.

Bought the car used in 2001. Very reliable car except for some of the interior plastic. The car was very low maintenance other than the usual tires and exhaust. The blower motor for heat and a/c died and needed a replacement fuse after 4 yrs. The driver and passenger power window motors also both died. All in all the car was a great buy aside from the little things. I would certainly recommend it as a cheap, sporty little car.

Great car! All my friends make fun of the car,because they call it a commoner car. They paid over $30000 each for their crappy imports,while I paid less than 25 and my car is going strong. I bought it brand new and have had it for 4 years now and it has over 65000 miles and still going strong.

I bought this car used, with about 35,000 miles on it. I now have about 73,500 mils on it (all done in a little over 18 months). I have had no major mechanical problems and I drive the daylights out of it. (Only fixes are a front wheel bearing, front rotors and fuel pump - onyl rotors weren't on extended warranty). I would recommend this car to anybody wanting a cheap, fun-to-drive, reliable sports coupe. Very good for a first car, or for a college student...
