02 Blazer
I've had my Chevy Blazer for about 5 years now. For ther most part, since it was my first new car, I haven't done too bad. The cons: Changed fuel pump already, build quality is poor, and it eats gas a little too fast, back seats are unconfortable. The pros: Good power, good control for an SUV, Drivers seat is extremely confortable, great driver to dash set up.
Good around car
It has enough room for carrying extra people, and has some decent power, especially for a six cylinder. I like the way the interior is set up. The interior is smooth and convenient. I personally love blazers now, wouldn't want any other suv maybe just upgraded to the zr2 package.

Rear still hurts
Bad purchase! Car looked great with a 3 year warranty, and nice black paint job. It has been a money pit ever since that first day. I've had everything replaced ranging from rear wiper pump, to the drivers side door motor, u-joint, both front wheel hubs. The rear trim panel, is fried up. The drivers side seat doesn't work right, rear seat doesn't fold down, handle broke. Water from front windshield leak sitting under passenger side carpet. Loose steering. The car honestly feels like it is going to fall apart when I drive it. Although, it's really realible.....for the mechanic.
Solid Performance Sporty looks
When looking for a medium sized SUV, I looked at all makes and models. It came down to either an Ford Explorer or a Chevy Blazer. Chevy offered 0% financing for 60 months, so I went with teh Blazer. I am very pleased with my decision. The Blazer with the ZR2 package looks very sporty and has given me great off road performance. The only bad experience I have had with teh Blazer is gas milage. I get 16MPG in teh winder and 18MPG in the summer (Minnesota). I would consider buying a Blazer in teh future.
ZR2 package is the way to go
I bought this car as my second, and I have not had any major problems with it, only minor. Rust on rear rotor caused weird noise, along with washer on driver door causing water to leak. Plastics are cheap inside the car and come apart/ blemish easily. The ride is excellent and it handles better than a truck should. It is a monster through the snow and the clearance is tall enough for anything. I would recommend this car for anyone who has to deal with off-road use as a common thing. Amazing off road and bad weather car, but because of small gear ratio, not that great of a highway car.
2002 4x4 blazer
It's new(only 600 miles). My first impressions are favorable.Quality of paint, body inegrity(rattles),and interior are all quite favorable. Relatively easy to get in and out of (for a truck). Also like the compact size making it easy to park ,etc.Very comfortable ride, like that of a nice riding car, only firmer.
Mostly like to drive
Overall, the car is good, but I have had to bring it back for repairs for the check engine light, side moldings faded, and the rubber on both front doors came off. The one major problem I am having is a noise from around the muffler like a tin can popping. This noise happens all the time. The dealer says this is normal! It started in October, two months after purchase. It is now April and I'm fed up! I am bringing it in again, but not taking no for a answer. I have showed this to mechanics and they said it is not normal, The muffler seems to be bent . This has to be the problem. There's still warranty on the car, but sometimes the dealers do not seem to like to look for the problem.
Buyer Beware!!!!
Great Truck if you want to drive in first gear only. One month after buying it used the tranny went out, it only had first gear, and I had to replace the tranny. No warranty, $1500.00 out of pocket. Have experienced rectal bleeding from taking up the poop shoot from mechanics. Dealers happy, Banks happy, Mechanics happy, guess who's not happy???
Buyers Beware - Poor Quality, lost value
This is my first and LAST Chevy purchase. I paid $21K and three years later I can't even get $7K, when comparable vehicles are going for $14K. First week I had it the vehicle leaked. A bad leak. I should have known then. Since then it's been one thing after another, sure warranty covered them for a while. Then my extended warranty kicked in, but the $100 deductable has cost me over $400 this year alone. Leaks, serpentine belts (3 in 3 years), passenger and driver window motors, windshield wiper gadgets gone bad, and more. Poor design, extremely mind-bending trade in values so low that I cannot believe it. The 2-door allows poor access to back, and the big fat spare tire is hard to see around
Squeekiest car around
A year or two into owning my pre owned blazer, it started making this god awful squeaking noise! Nothing we did fixed it! I took it to a mechanic who said he sees this a lot with Blazers, we asked around and tons of other blazer owners said the same! Now, every time I hear a squeaky car driving down the street, 9 times out of 10, it's another blazer!! There were lots of other annoying issues with the blazer. Buttons breaking, plastic pieces snapping off, sun visor breaking, seats ripping and tearing. It also required lots of maintenance. It's not even that I was very hard on it or anything (at the time I was 20something and used it to get to and from work, but we used my boyfriends car for everything else!)
