Used 2021 BMW X5 SUV Consumer Reviews
Fault in drive train almost killed me
Car is less that 9000 miles - lost power on a bridge and I was forced to pull over in a dangerous situation. It had to be towed due to a fault in the drive train and all we have been told is two of the 8 batteries left the factory faulty. BMW cannot figure out the issue 4 days later and I will never buy a BMW again.

Great Vehicle But Has Major Flaw
After less than 7 months of ownership I noticed the cabin of the vehicle would begin to smell of vinegar. It was apparent that the odor was coming from the A/C vents. As time passed the problem got worse. The stench can become overwhelming. The issue got so bad that at times I would feel ill as a result of these fumes. My wife brought our 2021 BMW X5 to the dealership to address this issue. They explained that it is a mold issue and that they would make the necessary repairs. The vehicle is under the manufacturer's warranty yet my wife was presented with a bill for services. She explained that we have a warranty and they refused to cover said repairs. They also failed to provide us an estimate in advance for said repairs. If they were going to do non-warranty work on the vehicle I would have expected a written estimate in advance of said repair. Do your research, this is an ongoing issue with multiple models and there is a possible class action lawsuit in the works if not already underway.

Great car But Sensatec Seats Very Uncomfortable
Love everything about the car but after 15 months we are getting rid of it because the Sensatec fake leather seats are like sitting on a board. Horribly uncomfortable for any ride over 90 minutes. Unbearable.

Great SUV
Best SUV I’ve owned, I’ve had many like Range Rover and Levante. One bad thing, the manufacturer had miss badged the car as an XDrive all wheel drive. It’s not. It’s a rear wheel drive and they won’t correct their mistake. It handles great.

BMW X5
The BMW X5 is an amazing vehicle with many great features. It drives as smooth as a sedan and it will even massage your back while you drive. You don't have to take your hands of the wheel or your eyes of the road to set up your navigation, just tell it where you want to go. The finishes are beautifully done.
