This is the first BMW and foreign car that I have owned. Coming from the V8 American muscle car scene, Vettes, T/As and Camaros, I am very impressed with this car overall. My biggest disappointment is low end torque. Neither the 325 or the 330 have sufficient low end torque. The car revs like a bat out of hell all the way to 7000 RPM and that makes it sweet but in order to keep the power up, you have to keep it revved. Other than that, there is not a bad thing I can say about this vehicle. The handling is out of this world and I recommend the sport package. The workmanship is better than the best of the American vehicles as the Germans think of things that GM and Ford don't for some reason.

Only had this car for a few days, for u BMW people I had an E36 m3 and this car is every bit the car that the old m was, but my wife is pregnant so I need a 4 door. This car with sport package and manual trans plus all the modern features is truly awesome. The only other car to look at was the g35 but got a great deal on a cpo car.

I really like this car, but I was well aware of most of it's flaws before purchasing--so do your homework! It handles better than any car I've ever driven (had Audi S4 before this)! It's got good acceleration than in years past (although slower than the S4). The audio system sounds about like what you'd expect for a car in this price range. The iDrive isn't nearly as bad as everyone has said, but you must spend a few hours with the ops manual AS SOON AS YOU GET THE CAR - or at least soon after to enjoy all of it's features. The NAV works pretty well, and the cd plays mp3's. However, whatever CD you have in plays continuously-the "off" button is only a "mute" button, so it keeps spinning.

This car specializes in awesome handling. The 330i with the Sport Package stays flat in any turn and inspires confidence. I also find it to be drop dead gorgeous. I'm a bit surprised by those who rave about the power - it's noticably less peppy than the G35 and Legacy GT. Wish they could've given it 25 more hp for 41K out the door, but hey, it's still an amazing car.

Picked up the car 2 weeks ago. I have been loving every second of it. It seems that the drive gets better and more fun every time I drive it. Driving experience is like no other. Took mother in laws Mercedes E500 out yesterday and I could not wait to get back into my car. Felt like I was driving a boat, not feel for the road. Bmw makes a great machine here.

Great car! 20K miles now and no problems. I love the run-flats but you won't, if you want a cushy ride. My dealer DID repair one with a nail hole and tires are wearing well. At least 5K left on them. After myriad expensive and seemingly unsolvable problems with my '99 Saab 9-5, this is welcome change and when my lease expires I'm torn between buy-out and 335! I think seats are very comfortable and I'm tall (6'4", 200).

This is my 4th Bimmer and the best performer of the bunch. I have the 6-speed with Sport package. I removed the Pirelli run flats at 25M miles. Was ready to trade for a Lexus. The car was actually dangerous to drive with the Pirellis. With Michelin A/S Sports it drives and rides like a BMW should. It is also now great in MN snow.

This car really lives up to the BMW reputation! It is the ultimate driving machine. I bought it at 50,000 miles and now it's up to 77,000 miles. I love the GPS, bluetooth and all the amazing features of this car! It drives so smooth and the brakes are amazing, you tap on it and it stops. Many who have driven this car has commented on how great the brakes work. The only draw backs are cost to maintain this car. Oil changes will run you about $100, but you only change the oil every 10,000 miles. You have to use premium gas or it will affect the performance of the car. Do NOT go cheap on maintenance of this vehicle because it will come back to bite you! New set of tires will be expensive.

Amazing handling, I drove this car today at 135mph and still felt as if I could push it more! Magnificent handling, the feeling is amazing, you can practically feel the 4 feels grabbing the blacktop. Sports mode shifter is great, the automatic clutch is a bit slow but not distracting once used to it. Brakes are amazing too! Had to bring the car from 90 to 0 in a short distance but handled beutifully (still alive thanks to the brakes) :) Will never buy anything other than BMW after this :)

This is my 1st BMW - Jet Black with Terra int, except it didn't have the navigation system. I have to say, I will never go back to any other vehicle again. This car screams with style and class. I did a lot of research before purchasing the 330i. There's just no comparison. I am truly impressed with every detail of this car, from the self adjusting xenon lights, to the start/stop button. And the stereo system is amazing. It is truly a driving machine and handles the road impeccably. My patience for a new vehicle was definitely worth the wait.

I just sold my 2001 330I and bought the new 2006 model and I couldn't be more happier. I got the sport package and premium package as I had before and the extra interior room is more than adequate. I have had several compliments on the new look and design. It doesn't seem as quick as my 2001 from the start but the ride is alot more comfortable and smooth. I recommend it to anyone who can afford it, but make sure you get the sport package with the upgraded rims etc.!

I drove my son's 2002 325 manual for a year - I did no like it, I have posted a message to this respect. Now, this 2006 also a manual is a totally different thing, I love it and I am convinced it will be grow to be a legend. Please do not buy this car as an automatic it make no sense. The only reason one would want an automatic is the heavy traffic on an incline. This manual solved this problem by engaging in the 1st gear just by releasing the clutch and then it you are on an incline the beaks release only when the clutch is engaged therefore there is zero rollback. Thank you BMW.

This BMW is faster than most cars (got the 6 speed), excellent acceleration. I drove a 7 series before this, so the Sport Package and short wheelbase on the 3 ride pretty rough for my taste. The car feels like its glued to the road though. Stunning looks, very fun, Bluetooth is awesome,Sport seats too, Stock base stereo jams.

Rides rough, but is fun to drive after 75 or 80 mph. The seats are not really comfortable especially on a long trip. It does get good gas mileage and it will get you out in traffic without a problem. I really don't know if I will get another BMW. We always wanted one and now that we can afford one, I'm not as impressed as I thought I would be.

Picked up the car 12/31/05. Since then, I have put on ~3,900 miles. Some in snow, some in rain and now quite a bit in sunshine... all of it has been a pure joy to experience. From interior/exterior fit & finish, to overall esthetics & overall performance, this car is HARD to beat, if NOT impossible. Oh, did I mention it gets great fuel mileage & I'm talking a 21.1 avg since I picked it up (I DON'T drive slowly either ;-) If you're in the market for an upscale sport sedan and have ~$45k to spend, look no further!

I was reading some of the reviews and thought I would give my opinion. This car is like no other. I see complaints of tires, etc. Purchase the tire/wheel warranty. It will pay for itself after one nail in a tire. Also, buy CPO. The only thing not covered is a battery ($250), but the money you save otherwise can't be beat. I bought while living in Miami and was listed for 34,000 and walked out for under 25,000 with warranty that blows other makers away on a car with 24,000 miles. Yeah, its had some minor issues, but for me its the best car available for the money. This car will not disappoint other than snow. I will get snow tires this year.

You would think of BMW as a luxury vehicle. It is, but add "sporty" with it, you got yourself a BMW. This vehicle is truly amazing. Packs fun, comfort, sporty, yet luxury. What more can you ask for in a car? I still question tail-light design of this E90, but beautiful front facia and side look makes all that worries go away. I am very happy with the purchase. I have sport pkg, and it handles like its glued to the road. Interior is functional and stylish, sport pkg seats are supportive yet comfortable for long drives. Being spoiled by BMW vehicle, I don't think I can ever go back to honda/toyota. Oh, and run-flat tires which eliminated spare tire was a good idea. Keeps trunk roomy and clean.

Bought my stripped-down 325i off the lot, on-impulse, though I had test-driven last year's model. Compared to that car, this is roomier and more attractive. It's zippy and the ride/drive is effortless. Suspension, great,q uiet compartment and first fun car I've owned in 10 years.

The new 330i is a fabulous machine, a huge leap ahead from the previous E46 series in every way. Build quality and interior ergonomics are vastly improved.Handling and performance are exhilarating. Sport package is a must have option. The new steptronic is light years ahead of the previous generation - much faster shifting and more intuitive in sport mode or manual. Tested the 6spd manual; it's not as slick as a Honda manual. This car is so much fun to drive, I look for excuses to drive it.Very hard to stay close to any legal speed limits; this is a car that loves to run fast,so be warned. You could pay $10-$20k more for a different car and not have as much fun as in the 330i.

Just took my new '06 325i for a trip this Labor Day weekend. It was just fantastic! Felt like I was gliding on air. The transmission is so smooth and the steering makes you feel so in control. I got 32 mpg highway so the cost of gas was not as tough to handle. I thought the space was great. We got 3 suitcases and 3 shopping bags easily in the trunk. I also have the open space in the rear seat to put a long pole we go for our garden. The navigation and satellite topped it off for us - the best road trip ever by far!!!

I debated on spending the extra money on the BMW versus our old reliable Honda and Toyota usual purchases. I am completely glad I spent the extra. I love my car, every time I drive it I enjoy it more. My husband, who is a truck man, loves to drive it, and now argues with me over who gets in the driver's seat. The performance is great. I wanted a sedan with some sport, some get up, great looks, and reliability with solid build quality and this fits the bill.

I bought my 2006, new body, 325i about 3 month ago, love the way it looks, although rims could have been bigger than 16 inches. Interior is not so impressive, handles awesome and highway passing power is great, but, lacks off line power. Fuel economy so far averages at 24 mpg while using 89 octane every other 2 full tanks using 87 octane. Furthermore, as of 3 months, a tire pressure sensor, air bag sensor, driver seat belt, radio and shift knob has been replaced, boy am I glad for warranty and maintenance plan. Although I would not want another vehicle, I think BMW could have done better.

I've had an Acura, Lexus, Mercedes and Cadillac. My 325xi is absolutely the best car I've owned. Driving it is wonderful. Those who complain about the stiff ride need to understand this is a German performance car not your dad's Buick! The run flat tires are a problem. I replaced 2 after 14,000 miles and there is some comfort in having a spare tire on long trips when BMW dealers are hard to find. Handles great on snow and ice in the midwest. Once you go BMW, you'll never leave.

I have had a 325i Sport, 325i base and now a 330i Sport, I want to say that there is a wow factor between base and sport, I wish it wasn’t true but they are “two different cars”, my 325i avg 23-24 mpg unbelievable in my book, but with a slight lag on takeoff oh well the trade off is MPG, the 330i avg 22 mpg solid, hwy 75-80 28 mpg 65 mph-34 mpg and 60-35, I think for a 255 hp this is incredible, it has the bang when you hit it but from 1-10 mph yes it’s not a rocket ship but feel BMW did it right, it handles GREAT, maybe not like a G35 but that is a hard harsh ride , the 330i isn’t yet the 325 sport was harsh? I feel the 330i is worth the extra $, outside of a small lag you will love this car

Acceleration does lag a bit since mine is automatic trans. but overall I am satisfied with the performance. The exterior would look better if the headlight didn't have the yellow stripe (like the european version).

My wife and I love our 2006 330i Sedan. This was the first year for this body style and we loved it the first time we saw it in person at the Dallas Auto Show. After driving it, my wife decided she wanted the standard suspension/wheel package after driving the sport package equipped model. After driving all of the competion, none of them held a candle, so we leased our Monaco Blue model.

Coming from the older 530i to the new 325i is part of the problem, I'm sure, but the ride on this new 3-series is horrible! Between the sports suspension and the run flat tires, I feel every tiny bump! Also, even though I live in Houston, it's taking a week to get replacement tires!! BMW just tells me "Well, the tires will become more available." Also I can drive to the gas station and back (4 miles), and even after 2 hours, you cannot hold your hand where the hood meets the fender, the temp is so hot! I have a 3-car garage and this BMW is heating the whole thing 10-15 degress higher than the outside temp! Service tech tells me everything is "normal". Very unhappy overall.

Good power from the V6, smooth flexible engine, fun shifting 6-sp manual, firm and controlled ride, great steering feel and handling, beautiful inside and out, efficient interior space for its exterior dimensions, quality interior materials, comfortable (especially the sports package seats), vastly improved handling with aftermarket lightweight 18" wheels with real non-runflat tires. Decent MPG for car's size and engine (23mpg overall in 50/50 city/highway spirited driving in Chicago).

got used '06 325xi 6sp in '10 with 62k. Its fast, handles great, holds road great, design is superb. May be a short on space for families, and bigger people. Very pricy to maintain especially if you don't know much about cars or prefer dealership service but the car is intended for richer audience hence the costs. But its very poorly built(German assembly), front handles began sticking and you can't close the door after you already got in, so you have to reach out to push the handle!! every time!on a Bimmer, come on!sticky buttons inside!i mean you have to push with all your power! within 1st year 3 check engines.2 times parts sending electric impulse to sparkplgs, anothr VANOS problem.

I have owned the car for about 2 months now and have no regrets about stretching my wallet for this car. To paraphrase Jack Nicholson, this car makes me want to be a better driver. I chose the car after driving the TL and G35, and had a hard time justifying the higher price until the 06 version, which appears to be a better value IF one does not desire all the creature comforts. A minimalist approach works best if you are on a budget because most of the safety features and the phenomenal handling are standard on this car. The fuel efficiency is impressive for a vehicle of this class and only gets better at higher speeds. I find the sport suspension unnecessary and like the standard wheels.

Bought this car in Aug and cannot stop driving it. It is an absolutely awesome vehicle and don't regret spending top dollar. If you are in the market, don't go for a TL or Audi or MB, go for the new 3 series. TRUST ME, you won't be disappointed.

I just bought my 2006 325i in mid- August and I absolutely love it. As a woman, I can tell you how great it is to drive and the 'envy eyes' you get riding around time. Its reliable, great on gas and that's coming from a ex- honda civic owner. I also have the navigation system and I feel like I'm in heaven. Best damn car ever!

I have had my new 325i for almost three months now and still make excuses to drive my car. I have found myself driving around just to drive this car. Can't say enough about it. Love, Love, Love it!

06 BMW 330i one of the best

The bottom line is that special feeling of being in touch with the road. That seat of the pants feel of just fun to drive. There is just no other way to explain it. Everything about the car seems to be designed to give you that feel of the road. Acceleration, brake performance, road control are all there. BMW has began to recognize the need for that feel of added luxury. The interior catches the eye and the seats are comfortable to sit in. The exterior holds its own when compared to similar models. It is a nice looking car. No one will regret owning this automobile.

BMW DEALER SHOULD DO MORE RESEARCH

I have the same problem like other Bmw 325xi owner. The Run-flat tires. I had similar problems like everyone with the tires, but I replaced with dealer-recommended Continental which are run-flat as well. The dealer charged me around 1095 dollars to replaced the Bridgestone tires. The dealer said normally charge $75.00 per tire. Run flat tire is cost more money. $110.00 per dollars. Labor cost is too much. Bmw should pay for tires and labor. Bmw put the wrong tires on this car. Please do more research. The performance of this car is very good. The price is cost more than other car.

Great car and performance. Gas milage on NY Thruway is averaging 36 mpg with manual transmission. Do not like 1. no body side moulding at all 2. Cigarette lighter power does not work unless motor is running. 3. No alarm system and dealer wants $700 to install one.

What an upgrade from a VW Jetta. The saying, " VW Jetta is a poor man's BMW," is partially true, and now I know what I have been missing by not paying the extra 5K to get a BMW in the past. I think We just bought a new BMW at the right time. This car is German engineering to the T. Absolutely flawless, stout, and sleek at the same time. We lost our 2001 VR6 Jetta to Katrina, and the wife wanted another German made car. So, we went to a BMW dealer, and that same day we decided to purchase. If you are in the market for a sport sedan, want the best of the best... go test drive the 2006 325i!

Having had three BMW 5 Series, I had to experience the 2006 325I to understand how much of an improvement BMW made to the 3 Series to nearly challenge the 5! It has everything my 528i and 525i's had, plus more HP and size. Only 7 inches shorter that the 5 Series and with an increased trunk space, the extra 20 horsepower makes all the difference. Plus, my 325i doesn't have the infamous I-drive!
