A4 3.0 Quattro
I am a little dissapointed with some of the interior squeeks. But over all the car has been perfect.
Questionable Product Support
I think the car will be fun to drive but since I had an accident on day 2 of ownership, I don't know yet. It will soon be three months and the availability of spare parts is keeping me from enjoying the car. Unfortunately, Audi spare parts are either unavailable or marked improperly when orderd. My repair shop classifies Audi as the worst in terms of difficulty in getting the right parts in a timely manner. Audi may be a world class car but they apparently have a third world supply chain!

My Wife's Audi
This car is SAFE, FUN,it performs GREAT, this is my wife's car and I feel very comfortable with my family being in this car. We live on a highway that has a turn that many loose control, especially when wet. Well good luck if you think you can get the A4 Quattro to turn loose! And the optional shifter in the automatic is great fun if you feel like assaulting the road. If my wife would just let ME drive it !
I love this car!
I thought I might get tired of this car with the expensive monthly payment but I just love it more and more. It is such a quiet, smooth ride inside, even on the highway. It is so much fun to drive. I don't mind my 25 mile commute to work. I love my heated seats. I would never buy leather seats without them. I love the 200 watt bose speaker syster. I can't say enough about this car. I've had it for 9 months and am still in love with it. I'm always staring at it. Thanks Audi!
Awsome 4
This is my second Audi and they just keep getting better. The fit and finish is superb. Why pay 4,000 to 5,000 more for a BMW of Mercedes. Audi gives a better care for less money. You do the math,
a4-station wagon review
I had an Volvo Suv which is a great car but too much for this small girl to handle or see out of...It takes driving a big vehicle to make you miss the handling and easy maneuvering of a smaller car. This is the closest thing to driving a BMW 5 series--has a really tight feel and response with the added cache of all wheel drive! I drove the BMW 3 series, which handles well, but the interior was inferior to the Audi!
A4 1.8T Quattro
Great car. Great dealer.
Awesome 3.0 Quattro 6 Speed Sport Pack
This A4 is undoubtedly the best all around car that we have ever owned. Zero defects so far. The Quattro system and ESP are unbelievable in slippery conditions. These systems also assert themselves in the dry; impervious to crosswinds; dead steady if you nail the throttle on a freeway cloverleaf. This car inspires confidence. The build quality is great. Complaints; poor fuel mileage and poor outward visibility. The outside mirrors are too small.
best deal in the way too expensive class
Simply nothing else anywhere near this good anywhere near this price.
Only Time Will Tell.
I have only owned this car for about 4 1/2 months. And I love the cars design, material quality and control layout. Im very happy with the handeling and even the rather small engine. But there seems to be issues with the windows and rain sensor, there are a few plastic interior rattles that annoy me. The audio system is terrible (Symphony system). I'm not disappointed,
Audi Dream.
This car is definitely worth its price. For so many options and features, the driver gets his "bang for the bucks!"
Great Ride
The A4 is overall is a great choice. You don't have a choice though, with the A4, of going Quattro, unless you do the 3.0. It just takes too much power away from the front where you need the performance. Perfect ride. I highly recommend the 1.8 CVT. It's a smooth, smooth ride. You really begin to realize how annoying gear changes are in other automatics when you get out of the Audi and into other cars.
Excellent car!
The Quattro performance in wet and snow conditions are excellent. The conner handling is pretty good as well.
It's the one!
Wonderful automobile, good power to weight ratio, excellent handling characteristics, strong braking, quick off the line and easy to merge into freeway traffic at speed. Roomy and comfortable, even the back seats accomodate adults comfortably. The fit and finish rate excellent and the 17" wheels and tires give the car that solid, all business appearance. It's our 6th Audi and it's the best one yet.
AudiUK
LOVE THE CAR !!!!! this is my 4th Audi 2nd convertible 97 before the 04 has the best looks on the road 4 sure!!! just as ever audi always has had great styling
excellent car audi a4 1.8 t
This is the BEST car I have ever owned . The performance is unbelievable. You cannot go wrong with buying this car.
audi
it was a very good car
2004 1.8T 6M Quattro Ultrasport
Bought the Ultrasport as it was a knock- out sitting on the showroom floor. The visual difference between the Ultra and the stock car is so vast, the additional dollars don't seem to matter. You know you've got a great looking car when valet's comment on it and people ask about it at the car wash. The car is a hoot to drive, and is very responsive. The Quattro system, while adding weight, certainly picks up the slack in curves or slick roads. Audi could kick up the HP and I wouldn't mind, in fact, that is all I would ask for at this point, 20 or 30 more horses. The engine itself is great fun, with more personality than the 3.0. I love this car.
2004 silver ultra sports 1.8T
When I first saw the car I loved it. It's fun to drive with an all wheel drive system, very comfortable and well built. The only bad thing that I had was the 2 weeks after I got the car the coil pack went out, which mean miss fire on one of the cylinders. Easy fix, and that's the only problem I have, since then it's been a joy ride.
A *nearly perfect car
I purchased this car w/ 44K and now have 79K on it. You can't beat the tasteful, subtle but sporty styling and the interior design and quality is impeccable. Apart from the lack of power (170hp in a 3400lb car just can't compare to its rivals in terms of acceleration), but the quattro all-wheel-drive system all but makes up for it in the twisties and it moves like a much lighter, more balanced car. Like almost all 1.8T owners I've had to replace my coil packs (I opted to upgrade to aftermarket Hitachi plugs instead of the OEM versions). A new clutch was also required at 75K, but that may have been due to the previous owner's driving style. I love my car and will drive it until it's dead.
WOW!!!
I love my new car! I attended the Portland Auto Show today and didn't find one car that I would rather have. I test drove the BMW 325i and MB 230K Sedan. I like my Audi better than both. It is very comfortable and fun to drive. It is a perfect blend between comfort and performance. I would recommend this car to anyone looking for a car in this class!
Great!
Wow! This car is great! Great perfomance, great handling.
A4 is a great car all around
An excellent car. The only thing I would change would be to upgrade from a 1.8T to a 3.0
Nearly Flawless Vehicle
I am a college student and this car is perfect. It gets amazing gas mileage, it is quick yet has some give between pushing the pedal and actually being slammed into your seats. The car handles turns amazingly, but then again my audi has quattro on it. I could not be happier with my car and I am 100% positive that my next car with be an Audi.
best ever
best car to drive, sporty and elegant luxury. you cant ask for more!!!! plus it has the BEST INTERIOR of any Euro car. THANK YOU AUDI!!!!!!!!
Audi A4 1,8T 5A
Overall I am very satisfied with the car. Biggest complaint is turbo lag which can get very annoying at times. Mileage is never near 30mpg per tank; my 2000 Passat (5-speed) never got less than 30 mpg and as much as 4
500 miles so far..
.. and I LOVE it. I was going to get the TSX, until I drove the quattro. I'm about halfway through the break-in period, so I'm still trying to treat it gently. But it's so hard to restrain myself. I do not find the car to be at all underpowered (having most of the torque at 1950+ rpm helps). The ride is firm on the highway, but not punishing around town. It's super quiet. And the fit-and-finish inside and out is incredible, even in the trunk. Now I'm crossing my fingers my first Audi will be a reliable one.
Not worth the $$$$$
I was looking at the "new VW Jetta" at the time, and to get all the things that I wanted cost more that the Audi. Common sense told me to get the Audi instead. I had my car for 7 months with no problems. I was at a stop light when it happened. The light turned green and I stepped on the gas, and the car would not move. The check engine light was one, the car was running, but it wouldn't move. After countless trips to the dealer and being told that the car was fixed (and it wasn't) I had to get rid of it. I hated doing it too. I loved the design of the car, the bose xm radio, tiptronic, and the pure fun to drive feeling. When the car works it's great, but when it didn't...
My Audi
So far the car is great. The turbo does have some flaws, such as the gas mileage isnt that great when you really drive the car hard. The performance that the turbo provides is relatively powerful. It has a lot of good safety features. Would be a good buy for a family.
Build Quality? Lack of Power?
Within less than 1 yr of ownership been to the dealer 7 times now to fix the drivers power seat. Audi just doesn't seem to get the hydraulics of the power seat right? Parts again questionable? Owned a 3-series BMW for 7 yrs without any problems. Engine lacks low end torque. The other problems are interior room for the passengers in the back.
120 is achieveable
I have gone 120mph in this car twice won't do it again, though, my passengers in the car said the car didn't even feel like it was going that fast. overall the car is awesome, living in the east coast, Quattro is a must and the grip it provides is amazing on the road, other than that the car is a piece of art, I was looking at the 3 series before I got my A4 but, the a4 was the better value and better looking.
A4 is way better than a 330i
Complements is what you get from this car. Once you start to drive this car off the lot you will notice the extreme smoothness of the engine and transmission. Not to mention the handling is a true pleasure. I have really tested this car out now for the past six months and I have been able to keep up with M3s on the 110 between downtown and Pasadena. In the LA rain you have the full confidence of Quattro and stability control. If you havent ever driven Quattro in the rain, well youre missing out on some serious traction. The upgraded Bose system is so crisp and ear piercingly loud. People who know cars buy Audi who dont buy BMW.
A4 1.8T Wagon Practically Rocks
This practical yet fun to drive wagon is the best of both worlds. The 1.8T engine with Auto/Manual mode has a lot of giddyup and when you're cruising on the highway, I've gotten as much as 33 mph! Put the 2nd row seats down and the cargo space is awesome. I get some looks when I load the stuff in there. This Audi is so much more reliable than the Lexus IS300 Sportcross I had. Only 1 10,000 mile checkup vs. 6 times into the shop for the Lexus. (So much for the passionate pursuit of perfection) Audi uber alles!
Hofmeier Review
We love out Audi Convertible. It has a great ride...plenty of get up and go...it is exactly with a sporty convertible should be.
My Audi A4
Excellent vehicle. I keep coming back to Audi, my fifth one over the last 20 years. Never lets me down and can't beat the handling.
Great car, but why a cassete player?
Great car! I just wonder why they put a cassete player in this car. It does not make sense. It has been like 3 years I've seen a cassete tape for the last time. If you have money to buy this car, having a cd should not be a problem. Audi should offer that as an optional for those that want a 2004 car with with a 1970 audio system. Overall great!
Great car!
Great car! Second A4. A few minor dash ratlles, will have looked at on first sservice.
Ultra Sport with Ultra Repairs
Car is gorgeous. Dolphin grey ext & Black leather int. Looks like the S4, but with the economy of the 1.8T. It kills me that Audi makes such beautiful cars but can't make them reliable enough to compete with Japanese cars. In a year's time, I've replaced both front window regulators, the clutch, the center armrest, steering control arm, the stereo head unit and now scheduled items are coming up (timing, struts, brakes). This car only has 65k miles... Japanese typically don't fall apart until twice that. Audi does make a great car to lease. Only lease... which is unfortunate as most first time Audi buyers probably buy pre-owned and get turned off by the time they make enough to buy new.
Euro
I think it looks better then other cars in its class. besides everyone and their mothers owns a BMW. I like to be a little differant
Most Complete Car in Class
After deliberating and driving everything including Acura TL, Infiniti GX, Saab and BMW 5 Series (3 series seemed too small), I concluded this was the best of the bunch and best value for the money. Quality is outstanding, 3.0 engine is smooth and powerful, has great looks and interior is as nice as anything I have seen. Further, where traction is any kind of issue the quattro can't be beat. Really seems to be the best looking yet most practical sports sedan out there right now.
Would do it again..despite roof problems
I wanted a fast fun car for a reasonable price and got it. Had serious issues with the convertible top not working and it took SIX WEEKS during the Indian Summer for the dealer to fix it (more of an issue of the dealer's inability to fix a problem properly). Other than that issue, everything else has been great with the car. I have the sports package which I'd forget if I did it all over again (too many potholes and bumpy roads in the metropolitan area). At the end of the day, I do have to say that I still love this car.
Audi Convertible
Almost bought Saab convertible...glad I didn't. Love the CVT transmission; front wheel drive was terrific in recent 9" snowstorm. Car is fun to drive, very responsive. A dream!
Awsome!
I now have had my A4 ultrasport for 4 years and 80000 miles. I have had no major problems. It is an awsome car and it is amazing to drive. I highly recomend this car!
my A4
This is the best car i have ever owned. It was great in the snow, handled well. Its just as much fun in other climates as well. a sleek stylish design that turns heads!
squeeky brakes are standard
i puchase a 2004 A4 and seem to have a clicking noise when i put the car in gear and start moving and squeeky brakes come standard. dealership told me that is normal??????
Great Second Car
I purchased a used 2004 3.0 Quattro with 5 speed auto for a second car. I'm quite impressed with the fit and finish and not a squeak in a car with 59000 miles on it. It's quick, smooth and fun to drive. I had a 2001 BMW 530 and swear this car rides better, feels faster and matches the Bimmer in every comfort category.
Beautiful Car but...
It is a great drive and an absolutely beautiful car but too many problems in too little time. Broke down and needed to replace a part within the first month
A4 1.8T Quattro LOADED
I love my new car.....everything about it. It looks good, sounds good and is so incredibly fun to drive.
n/a
I have been more then satisfied with this car. It has had no problems and is alot of fun to drive.
Love my A4
I traded in a Chrysler Sebring Convertible (that I loved) and I've never looked back. I get lots of comments on the A4's elegant looks, esp. the way it looks with the top down since it hides away in the trunk. The care is a little slow off the line, but once up to speed, I have no complaints. (I have the 1.8 turbo) I also love the service at the Audi dealership.
