Good catch starrow but unfortunately that special extension has expired as of Feb. 2008, so I didn't mention it. HOWEVER, now that you brought it up, I'll post it anyway and maybe he can lever the dealer or Chevy if he wants to spend the time to do so. Bulletin No.: 05081 Date: February 08, 2006 SPECIAL POLICY Subject: 05081 - SPECIAL POLICY ADJUSTMENT - ELECTRONIC COLUMN LOCK SYSTEM Models: 1997-2004 ... Read More

In the interests of accuracy, our region of the Viper Club sponsors an annual dyno day for many of our owners. HP and TQ numbers vary so much. I would like to know why the tests rely on 'published' numbers - instead of doing their own tests. Trust - but Verify !!! Let's see the REAL numbers. RWHP.. and RWTQ. 2000 GTS owner.

Chevrolet Corvette Prices Paid and Buying Experiences

  • Prices and dealers for '07s

Written by: toquinho on Jul 25, 2006 9:36:45 AM

I've been searching for a dealer in the SF bay area to give me a deal on a pre-ordered '07. I searched high and low and had given up / was about to order one from the high volume dealers in the Northeast and Midwest. They were offering $3500 off a standard coupe -- no hagling. I tried to haggle -- nope, no haggling. Its $3500 off and that's it. However, ... Read More

I have been shopping all of the local Chevy dealers for about a week and the news is not very good. All but one say that they only sell MSRP. The dealer I have bought many cars and trucks from say they well sell me one for $2000.00 over invoice and as far as they know I will be the first one that they have ever sold one at that price. ... On Saturday I test drove a new 2005 911 S Cab (997) with my wife and kids in the rear seat. I was told the RMS problem was overblown and that, with proper break in, had not been a problem in 996's and Boxters. In fact, there was an absolutely pristine 2000 Boxster on the lot that had been recently traded on a 911. It had 155,000 miles on the odometer ... Read More

Ford Mustang GT vs C5 Corvette (2005)

  • Re: 05 Mustang GT vs C5 Corvette - Which one to buy? [adg1]

    Written by: ulosn2me on May 31, 2005 6:08:56 PM

I am considering a Mustang GT Convertible (5sp) vs a pre-owned C5 Corvette. The C5 would probably be a coupe with removable roof. I plan on it being a daily driver. I live the advantages of the Mustang; new with warranty, back seat (small), price for new...... But it is not a Vette. The C5 would be, say..an 03 with low miles for very similar money. Anyone have thoughts or experience ... Read More
