WOKING, England — McLaren Automotive has released the vital statistics on its 2014 McLaren P1.

The P1 sprints from zero to 62 mph in 2.8 seconds and zero to 124 mph in 6.8 seconds.

The P1 reaches 186 mph in 16.5 seconds, a full 5.5 seconds quicker than the McLaren F1, according to the automaker.

The exotic British car churns out over 900 horsepower from its 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 and electric motor. Top speed is limited to 217 mph.

McLaren says the P1's fuel figure on the EU combined cycle is 34.0 mph. The electric motor has a range of 6.8 miles.

The automaker marked a major milestone for the P1 recently, delivering the first car to an unnamed British owner. P1 production kicked off in September. The first car to roll off the line was decked out in Volcano Yellow.

McLaren says the build of a single P1 takes 82 technicians 17 days of work. A total of 375 units of the P1 will be produced.
