The base 2014 Audi Q5 2.0T starts at $38,195, including shipping.
At this point, the Audi SQ5 has no direct competitors. The top-of-the-line 2013 Mercedes-Benz GLK350 4Matic starts at $39,995, including a $905 destination charge. The 2013 BMW X5 M starts at $89,775, including a $925 destination charge. There is no 2013 BMW X3 M model.
The SQ5 is equipped with a 354-horsepower 3.0-liter TFSI direct-injection V6 engine lined to an eight-speed Tiptronic transmission. The high-performance crossover sprints from zero-60 mph in 5.1 seconds and has a top track speed of 155 mph, according to Audi.
Exterior design cues include S model bumpers with a Platinum Gray grille and diffuser, aluminum exterior mirror housings and quad exhaust tips. The cabin gets a three-spoke multifunction flat-bottom steering wheel, gray instrument face with white needles, pedals with aluminum inserts and SQ5-specific leather/aluminum shift knob.
