Used 2006 Volvo V70 Wagon Consumer Reviews
Still the best wagon
In 30 years this is my fourth Volvo and my first brand new one.. I always go out intending to buy a Toyota or a Subaru but always come home with a Volvo. Volvo may not often be the most reliable, the most economical and maybe not even the safest car in tests, but the comfort and ergonomics of the cabin is still unsurpassed. The 2006 in comparison to previous years (I also own a 1999) has a much smoother drive train and is certainly quieter under acceleration.
Fun for Mom
Fun to drive for those who don't want the boring ride of a mini-van. Has plenty of space for everything you need. Can drive on long trips and not get so fatigued.

Transformation of Volvo
Having been a Volvo owner for 25 years, I was surprised by how more luxurious this Volvo was from my older Volvos. Great ride, power, and comfort. Also, great upgraded sound system.
Absolutely Excellent Vehicle
I have driven Volvo most of my life and they are renown for their safety and reliability, my V70 2.5T has also proven to be as fast as my 98 S70 T5, if not even faster with its Variable Valve timing and high torque turning heads dare I let her rip. My son is an even greater enthusiast and recently installed original Volvo Pegasus wheels that make it look like the R model. Is comfortable, quick, reliable, and I do not have anything negative to say about it than perhaps Ford made it more difficult to change headlamps and headlight bulbs but Ford screwed so many things cheaping out and ill engineering up after 2000 which was a given and why friends don't let friends buy Fords but the Volvo engine and drivetrain remains strong to maintain its image as an ultra-longevity vehicle. It is a solid car- no comparison to any other/short of Bentley and Rolls of course which are total different animals.

2.4L 4-dr Wagon Automatic
You can feel quality in the ride and for a station wagon, it handles surprisely well. The instrumentation panel is easy to read and manipulate (within easy reach.)The gauges are visually appealing. My previous car had Bose stereo, the Volvo, although not Bose, it can be argued sounds somewhat comparable. Pick-up and go won't leave you quivering when passing another vehicle. With recent money incentives, you can hardly beat the price compared to comparable vehicles. If you must drive a station wagon, the Volvo is the way to go.
