this is a fairly raliable car. it is fun to drive although not very comfortable. the engine runs great, and it feels strong. i had repeated problems with the heating and the cooling system. i had to change many things. like the transmission, the suspensions and so on, but hey, this is a 12 yro car...

Relaxing Drive

I recently bought a 1992 Jetta GL, automatic. It is so easy to drive and very relaxing. The only problem I have had with it is a single spark plug lead. We have had three offers for it so far, most of them double or triple the price we paid for it.

My car lives at the mechanic's every other week. The motor is great, but everything else falls apart. I've replaced every other thing, and am waiting to see what's going to break next....

Love the 87 VW Wolvesburg Edition

Loved the 87 Wolvsbu, 01/15/2004

The gas milage is great. Quite roomy with three kids. No power. What happened to German quality. This edition was not built in Germany. The transmission is smaller than my 87'. Although they are both 1.8 liters. The 87' Wolvesburg edition drove better because of the better and bigger trany. I still love VW's. I have a 96. Although I would rather take another 87' Wolvesburg. Bring back the style, comfort, simplicity, better gas mileage and MADE IN GERMANY not US.

Overall, it has been a fairly reliable vehicle. Only minor repairs were necessary.
