Used 2010 Volkswagen GTI Hatchback Consumer Reviews
The Ultimate Hot Hatch
This car really has it all. Pick up (0-60 6 secs), amenities (touch screen radio is top shelf), practicality (hatchback & four doors), handling (XDS), and looks/style. And all this for an excellent price (between $25K- $28K, depending on your options). I really dig the new styling (front and rear are big improvements over the bulbous MkV). I still love the plaid seats and the red stitching gives the interior a very upscale feel. I love the bluetooth (very clear) and the iPod integration is near perfect. There have been a lot of reviews wanting more hp, but with this amount of pick up and midrange torque, I wouldn't care if it had 150, 200 or 250 hp...as long as it drives like this!!
Best car for the money
Ive been a BMW guy my entire life but as I get older, Ive started placing much more emphasis on value. I spend a lot of time in my car and therefore wanted a car that is fun to drive, comfortable, stylish but utilitarian. After extensive research and studying my key numbers (0 to 60, mpg, and $ ), the GTI was by far the best in class. Ive had this car for two months now and find it very comfortable and quiet. The quality of workmanship is also beyond my expectation for a car in this price range. Though I wasnt really after exclusivity, this is not a car that you see very often. In my daily driving here is the high volume la traffic, Ive only seen two 2010 gtis thus far.

Fun to Drive, and Great Daily Driver
Probably not a traditional GTI buyer as I am in my fifties and am accustomed to driving Acura's and Infiniti's. But was really looking for a vehicle this time around that is a blast to drive, while at the same time civilized enough to provide comfort for long trips. The GTI fits the bill precisely. The car never fails to put a smile on my face and it is a hoot to downshift and throw the vehicle into a tight curve. Then hit the gas and rip out of the curve. That just never gets old! With that said, the car has a very comfortable ride and does not wear you out on a long trip. Very pleased with this vehicle.
What do you expect it's a GTI dummy
This is my 3rd GTI. What can I say if it's not broke don't finx it. 1st GTI was a 1991, 2nd a 01. The fit and finish of the 2010 are by far simply amazing. For 24 and change you will not get anything close. Everything from ext styling to interior feel puts the car in a class above itself. VW has taken the car to another level and with the mk VI being my third GTI I can honestly say this is the best in class. I typically use this car for work and I smile every time I get in it. I wish I could be on the consumer testing panel during design. I would give VW some ideas that would make everyone want one.
The Adults' Hot Hatch
Sometimes you just have to grow up. Sometimes, you want to still have fun as a grown up. The gti does just that. With an interior that is on par with cars costing twice as much and a sporting attitude that lets it play with the big boys, it is a near perfect vehicle. Pop in the baby seats and be a family man (or woman), then pop them out and head to the track. The transition is that simple. Throw it into the curves, cruise on the highway, or drive in a really "spirited" manner - it can do it all. Wonderful car for those of us that want some fun, some refinement, and have a real life to live.
