Just traded a Passat (2006) with the 3.6 L engine for a 2013 4 motion and the same motor. I love the car! It is quiet, comfortable, wicked fun on curves and it is beautiful! The sound system is unbelieveable. Programmable Key Fob, Air Conditioned and heated seats, when you shut the car off or hit open on the key fob all the windows go down about a 1/4 of an inch to make opening and closing doors easier! And boy is it fast! Switch to Sport Mode and manual shift and this bad boy will scream!

We have had our '13 Candy White CC for 5 months and 10,000 miles so far and we absolutely love it! It is our 2nd VW and is our favorite VW model. The 2013 refresh has made the CC much more attractive with dual xenon headlights that move as you turn the steering wheel and the tail lights are gorgeous at night! We have gotten so many compliments and seems as though most people are unfamiliar with the CC and it tends to exceed their expectations. The 2.0T is a peppy motor and with the APR stage 1 ECU tune it is a pretty quick car. Overall this car is a great bargain for all that you get.

Speedy, agile and noisy

I own VW CC 2013 since January 2013. 5+ years and overall, I am pretty happy about it. I had ZERO issues with this car for all these five years. The only part that I replaced was the battery, but it's mostly maintenance thing rather than a "real repair." The engine is very tunable. I re-flashed the stock ECU with APR Stage 1 and did the same for DSG transmission, and this car is speedy. I would say that's one of the best things you can do with your 2.0t VW and if you have any doubts - do it. It worth the money. The car is very agile on a back mountain roads, and the drive is somewhat on the sporty side (however, that's not a sports car). Steering feel is num, but it's precise enough to make you confident on a freeway. What I don't like. 1) Sound insulation. The car is noisy, especially on bad pavement. It is loud and rough, and I will make you sure - you are going to feel every bump on the road. I spent 2500$ on sound deadening, and it did not help. 2) Rattles and squeaks. The dashboard rattles, and that isn't very pleasant. These rattles and squeaks are especially noticeable when the outside temperature is a bit low. 3) DSG is not a smooth transmission. If you push it hard, it jerks a lot. 4) Tons of "oversteer" after putting Stage 1. This car has to be all-wheel-drive! UPDATE. I own this car for 7.5 years now, and this is my daily driver. I put 44k miles on it (not a lot, I don't drive too much). I am changing the oil every 5k miles, which twice more frequent than the owner manual recommends. I had no issues so far. The vehicle still drives like new. The stage-1 tune is there yet, no problems whatsoever. Nowadays, this CC feels very outdated. Everything is very basic, lots of hard plastic, etc. But all materials still hold up quite nicely. There are no cracks, fading, or other damages neither to the interior or exterior. I still have the original brake pads and rotors. The maintenance I've done: 1) Oil changes every 5k miles 2) I change the engine air filter with every oil change 3) DSG liquid flush 4) New battery after five years (the old one died) 5) New spark plugs 6) New set of tires at 22k mileage because I wouldn't say I liked the stock ones.

First of all the gas and break pedals are freakishly close together - they almost overlap. Second of all, at very low speeds (such as bumper to bumper traffic) the engine feels like it as about to stall as you alternately tap the gas and break (it never does but it shakes a bit). Third the window needs to be slightly open when the door is opened and it is supposed to happen automatically but it often does not (as people getting in to the car just grab the handle and pull before the auto down feature kicks in). Fourth, you can't not hit your head as you get in the car. The window sill is too low. Fifth, you can't tap the horn, it gives a full second of honking even with the lightest tap.

I have had my CC for 2 months and must say I love it. No issues so far to report. The only complaint I have is that I feel it should come standard with the VW Fender sound system. The stock system in mine is not the greatest - can be very tinny sounding with some distortion. Satellite radio cuts out with any overhead impediment (like being under a roof at the bank teller). Other than that, things have been great. Love the styling inside and out. Engine is peppy and powerful enough for me and I've gotten pretty good mileage - roughly 32 mpg average according to the trip computer. Interested to see how it will do in winter driving.

Love this car except for a couple of VERY annoying things. The main problem is the backup camera and navagation system. My backup camera takes for ever to come on. So to me, it is basically useless. I have had it in to VW 4 times and even called VW Headquarters. They replaced the whole navigation unit and the actual camera itself. NO CHANGE. They said that this was just normal for this vehicle. Only excuse they could come up with. Very sad. I feel helpless because i paid a lot for this feature. Now there is a popping sound in the windshield. I will be in for that eventually.

I bought this car after driving and researching cars that did not cost more han 40.000 us. This car has great features, power is great and handling its amazing. 0 to 60 mph in 5.53 sec. Fuel consumption is great. Great lines and design. Headlights are one of the greatest improvement in this model, the nav is great, bluetooth extremely reliable with voice commands, you can do video in the screen and save music into radio hard disk. Fun to drive and if you want to feel the real power enjoy the Sport mode, it will kick full power in RPM when you accelerate. I drove a bmw 325, 335, audi 2.0 t, audi 5, ifiniti g37 and i decided to buy this one based on how good it felt driving it.

Purchased car used with 39,000 miles and owned to 59,000 miles. Overall decent value and smooth, comfortable ride with decent driving dynamics. Compared to 2012 VW GLI, quieter and more comfortable but noticeably more body roll in the corners. Mechanically reliable, although every time I rotated my tires they became (slightly) out of balance. I’ve read some other threads notice this is a suspension design flaw.

I think I have a firm grasp on this car now... Great computer features, headlights are awesome, bluetooth and other techs are top notch. I have found SOME build quality problems: loose door bolt, some auto start issues on occasion and window squeaking when the weather stripping is met my the glass. Overall a great car with great mpg and gadgets. Be warned however, this is not a "drivers" car. It is comfortable and smooth but it IS NOT a fast car and it does not corner really well either. Finally, because of the soft suspension and low ride height, take it easy over speed tables... you CAN bottom out. Would I recommend this car to anyone, YES! Does it have SOME faults... yes.
