A real great car with impressive fuel consumption

2024 Subaru Crosstrek
I purchased a base 2024 Crosstrek and have driven it around 3000 miles. I am primarily using it to travel on USFS roads to trail heads. The dealership installed a stock 2-inch hitch for a bicycle rack and pull a 500 lb utility trailer. The 2.0 L engine is sufficiently powerful and provides plenty of pull and acceleration. No complaints what so ever. The instrument panel has an LED … gasoline consumption gage (among other readings) so I can monitor my driving. What's surprising is that the car is consistently getting between 40 and 45 miles per gallon!
