2022 Subaru Crosstrek Review

If you fancy a little bit of adventure but don't have a lot of space in your garage, the Subaru Crosstrek might be the ideal vehicle. With a healthy 8.7 inches of ground clearance, the Crosstrek can take you places most small SUVs, including the Honda Fit and the Kia Soul, cannot. It also delivers a fairly comfortable ride and comes with quite a few standard safety features.

For 2021, Subaru added a larger optional engine to the Crosstrek. That went a long way toward taking care of our biggest complaint that the little Subaru is too slow. For 2022, it's unlikely that Subaru will change anything significant on the Crosstrek largely because there could be an all-new generation on the way in 2023.

Subaru's Crosstrek is a nifty little adventure vehicle, and we were more than satisfied to see Subaru offer an engine upgrade for 2021. If you like what the Crosstrek has to offer, there's no need to wait for the 2022 since it should be pretty similar to what's in dealer showrooms now.
