WONDERFUL WORKHORSE

I purchased my 2012 Venza used at 2 years of age. I have driven it for 10 years now and intend on pushing it another 2 years. My odometer reads 252000km. My son says this is a boring car to drive. I reply that I didn't buy it for an exciting ride. I bought it to be a reliable, comfortable work horse. And that's exactly what it has been. It's seen me to countless out of town hockey/ringette tournaments, practices and events over the years. Its easily carried both kids goalie gear/luggage with room to spare. Passengers are very comfortable in the back seats with plenty of room. This car has been to dog shows, agility practices and barnhunt events carrying all kinds of equipment, crates, tables, tents and chairs. The release lever for the back seats fold down; located in the cargo area, is the best invention ever!!! Over the years my Venza has proven itself to be reliable, never leaving me on the side of the road. I like its heavy, solid feel that carries it through strong winds and easily plows through deep snow my son's truck couldn't get through. I must admit, I starting getting nervous as the car approached 200000kms. However it reached that milestone and beyond, maintaining its dependability! I've never had a car with this much mileage before. Over the years; besides regular maintenance (brakes, oil changes and tires), I've had to replace the two front struts and the battery once. The only real issue I've had with the car is the airbag light. Its been on for years. It started coming on, intermittently, years ago in relation to the drivers door. I did the drivers door/airbag wire recall; however, that just made the light stay on permanently. Sigh. Other than that, this car has carried home lumber for a deck, desks, drywall, lattice, chairs, laminate flooring, lazyboys, patio stones, mulch, 65" TV, etc. So, to sum it up, it may not be "exciting" to drive but what a WORKHORSE!!! Unfortunately, this will be my last Venza as all the things I love about my Venza are sadly lacking in the new 2024's. Love my 2012 Venza!!
