Used 2018 Toyota Tundra Double Cab Consumer Reviews
Love my Tundra but should be better.
Love the exterior styling and contrary to other reviews, I find my Tundra actually fairly good on gas for a truck. That being said, the interior very poorly designed. Most controls not visible from behind the wheel, have to reach over gear shifter to access beverage in holder, and cruise control doesn't work most of the time due to dirty sensors for the adaptive cruise control. Also have questions about future reliability since so far I have gone through two sets of brakes (first had to be replaced at first oil change) and there has been so many recalls. The most recalls I have had on any vehicle I have owned and have only owned this vehicle so far for two years.

Dealer would not honor quote on Edmunds
Make sure dealer is honest and not just lying to you. I went to buy the truck posted. Found it, confirmed Vin# and went to buy with hard copy of vin# and price quote. Dealer refused to honor and said it was Edmunds fault.

2018 Tundra still a great truck
Expected gas mileage is spot on, but it does do better than I expected at 62-65 mph. Pulls the trailers nicely, gas mileage around 11.5-12. Brakes had to be replaced on the rear, they were sticking.

Where's The Beef
This truck is fine just for most people. But for those of us who have to work and play, it falls short. I've been waiting for years for Toyota to up their towing limits. So guys could use their trucks to "work", pulling larger trailers like equipment trailer, (not just a 5X7 trailer) AND then use their trucks to "play" after hours to pull 5th Wheel campers or larger boats. Those of us that DO work hard and play hard still must rely on Dodge, Ford and Chevy for the serious stuff. It seems like a no brainer for Toyota to widen their sights? It's called a serious "Heavy Duty" truck, not just a TOY ota! The technically has always been thought that over sea's auto were suppose to be much better in the fuel economy department, the USA give much better mileage on the big boy toy trucks than you guys. Are you Tech's out for lunch or just sleeping on the job? Bottom line, give us a truck that works and plays for us.
