Love this truck!!
After having the radiator replaced I decided it was just a fluke and not typical of the Tundra. I still have it and it looks and runs like new with 80000 miles. bought my Tundra in 2013 with 40000 miles and it was perfect (SR-5, 5.7l srd package). No problems whatsoever and all scheduled maintenance as completed by dealer where I bought the truck. Then at 79000 miles The RADIATOR CRACKED! The crack was so severe it drained the radiator in a matter of minutes. I did not damage the radiator, it has not been off road and I have cared for this truck like it was a child. Fortunately the engine was not damaged as I pulled over and had it towed. The Platinum warranty had expired by 26 days. I bought the 7 year warranty in 2013 BUT THE 7 YEARS STARTS THE YEAR WHEN THE ODOMETER IS 0, not when you buy the truck. SO in reality the warranty was only for 4 YEARS. Toyota wanted 1400$ to replace the radiator and I am having it done by an independiente for $400.00. Now I am not sure I trust this truck and thinking of selling it. My main focus on any vehicle is reliability and when a supposedly “tough”truck built for off-road and heavy towing has a defective radiator the reliability becomes a major concern. Toyota should have covered this defect because the radiator seperated at the bottom seam weld. Im disgusted and now looking at other vehicles

Are they Kidding?
This truck is great. I test drove all the competitors and decided to pay a little more for the toyota. Resale will take care of those concerns in a few years. The others just don't compare. The 5.7 liter is smooth, and powerful. The ride is also very comfortable and I believe superior, I did not notice the Jitters that are mentioned in other reviews. I sprung for the 20 inch wheels, it really makes the vehicle pleasing to the eye. The edmunds review seems to be searching for something wrong. The only thing wrong is the lack of awards.
Bad tires
Bought in November 2010, heater did not work, 6 days to repair. January 2011, 2 months old, back bumper was covered with rust, replaced. Tires are flat spotting in 24 hours, Toyota considers this a normal condition as designed. The truck shimmies severely for the first five miles. No Toyota exec would drive this truck on ice with this shimmy.
Sweet ride
I had a 2003 tundra single cab with over 300k and was starting to cost more to keep running traded for this 2011 crewmax and night & day much quieter, handles like a dream turns a bit wider yet the over all ride and performance make it worth that just one thing I dis like about it is grill-gard offers little protection over all but looks good.
