Excellent Overall

2004 Toyota Tundra 4dr Double Cab Limited Rwd SB (4.7L 8cyl 4A)

I've only had my Limited Tundra for a few weeks now, but so far I love it! True, the gas mileage could be better, but the performance and ride are great. More options would be a plus. You can't get a sunroof AND seat heaters for some reason. I hate how you can't get factory options like leather, wood trim or rear seat entertainment systems because the port (GST) orders all of them without these options so they can sell and install their own aftermarket versions.

THE TUNDRA HAS MEET OR EXCEEDED ALL OF MY EXPECTATIONS. PLENTY OF POWER FROM THE V-8. COMFORTABLE TO DRIVE. PLENTY OF ROOM IN THE EXTENDED CAB TO MORE THAN MEET ALL OF MY NEEDS. TOYOTA QUALITY WITH THE SERVICE PERFORMANCE FROM METROPLEX, BEST IN THE COUNTRY. MOST KNOWLEDGABLE, HARD WORKING SALES PERSON,BARBIE.

Since I have had my truck I have extremely pleased, but only had one problem; after hitting a curb, the rear differentials gears apparently got strained from that and the bent and cracked.

We have had good times in this truck and it is a nice truck but , we have had many brake troubles , even though , it has the so called state of the art brakes . Also , we has a exaust manafold leak . Not good for a newer truck . This truck had 7 miles on it when we bought it . We just sold it at 62,000 miles . We had 3 sets of brake on it and never pulled anything with it ! We have talked to many other people who have them and they all had the same troubles . TRD models and the works . We still liked the truck , not the brakes though . Also had to replace the 2 front rotors . Looked like they over heated . From what , who knows ? They should not have !!

Bad Suspension Noises

I bought my Tundra used with only 34000 miles on it and I also bought an extended warranty. Now at 36000 miles the rear leaf springs under the bed make popping and buckling sounds. Toyota dealership AND extended warranty company will not correct problem because they say nothing is "broken or damaged" - it's only "making noises" and they don't honor that for repair purposes. Truck is great otherwise - no problems, great power for towing. Very disappointed manufacturer won't correct this issue especially with $1500 extended warranty purchased!
