This truck was a graduation gift from my parents and they couldn't have made a better choice. I have owned a 91 and 93 toyota tacoma, both 4x4, and they have become my favorite trucks. I drive my truck hard, using the 4X4 on a regular basis and I have yet to have a problem. The off-road capability is unmatched by anything I have come across yet. It is a simple truck that can't be beat!

My 01 tacoma has 70,000 miles on it and i haven't had a single problem with it. It goes everywhere off road and rides nice on the pavement. Its a solid truck.

My 3rd Tacoma, all great

I've owned 3 Tacoma's. In order, a 2002 DBL cab Prerunner, a 1998 Ext cab 4x4 and now a 2001 Regular cab 4x4. I absolutely loved the 02 with the 3.4. Thought I'd never get rid of that one but I really wanted 4wd so I sold it to a guy who drove 6 hours one way to buy it. He loved the truck so much he paid me what I gave for it 3 years earlier. I got a great deal on the 1998 4x4. Bought it for $4500. Drove it a year and sold it for $7500. It had 300k miles but drove well and was very dependable. A few years went by without a truck and I always missed my Tacoma's so set out to find another 1995-2004. Knowing all about the frame rust issues I only considered trucks from the South and luckily I found my 2001 single cab 4x4 in lower TN with 120k miles. It's a base truck (no options) but I like it's simplicity, 4cyl, stick shift. It does have air conditioning. It drives as tight as a new truck and I know it will last me a long time. I had to pay a premium for it but you never lose money on these older Tacoma's. I can drive it for 5 years and still get my money back.

It was a one owner car with low mileage and no accident, everything was original in and out and was the specific car I was looking for my son...
