Used 2006 Toyota Sienna Consumer Reviews
I didn't buy it to be a "mommy-van"
I am a recently retired teacher and an avid surfer with no kids so I wanted a vehicle that was not just very roomy and had AWD but also comfortable if not luxurious. Having owned 2 SUV's and liking them I was tempted to buy another but I wanted more cargo space for my gear yet comfort too. The '06 Sienna was my choice and I'm glad I made it. The car is fully equipped with a beautiful leather interior, incredibly comfortable to drive and has great cargo space. I love all the extras in the XLE: AWD, power doors and windows, a great sound system and gorgeous interior appointments. The car handles beautifully has a very smooth, almost luxury feel to it and is just fun to get into and drive.
Premier Minivan
Even allowing for the "new car euphoria" the Sienna just performs well in almost all respects. My wife is very impressed, and to her a car is usually just a car. Great ride, lots of nice features, and the gas mileage is acceptable for a vehicle this size and weight.

This minivan is fantastic! It gives a great ride and it is amazing in the snow. I took a 2 hr trip in the heart of a blizzard that left us w/17 inches of snow and the Sienna never even slipped. I didn't get many options as most things I wanted came standard w/ the AWD package (4 wheel disk brakes, ABS, folding 3rd row seat, etc) I've only had it a couple weeks but I couldn't be happier w/ it so far.
Noisy
This minivan is not all it is cracked up to be. It handles well, is attractive and may be reliable but the car is not as quiet as the reviewers indicated. The road noise is awful and you can feel every bump on the road. Plus the interior seems cheap. I made the mistake of leasing it and am stuck for 3 years. Not the brightest move I have made.
Happy but Expected Better Performance
Bodystyle=fabulous. Interior luxury=Lexus. Love flexibility of fold down rear seats & seat configurations. Automatic side & rear doors=priceless. Sound system=awesome w/ great source options. Absolutely agree- needs front cntrl of DVD player. Want to use it w/little kids, have to stop car & climb back. Very disappointed w/ power of engine - has to upshift on slightest hill @ avg wghts-& fuel economy=16.4 mpg @ 50/50 driving. Front psngr seat=very uncomfortable-only 4way- very short& it feels like Im going to fall out of it; I am only 56. Have not taken it for a long trip-I dont see being able to sit in the passenger seat for > 1 hr. Back seats=great. Overall=happy but for price- should be thrilled.
